  1. I am with Humana which has a comprehensive and thorough website that includes our personal records. Its also good for finding service, drug price comparisons etc. In fact it may be the best thing about Humana (many of their offices have the WORST 'service' I have ever encountered, and that is going some).

  2. Hi Elaine:

    When you say that Humana
    have the worst services
    are you referring to the
    Humana offices or the
    doctor's offices that take
    Humana. I have Humana and
really have a good relationship with my doctor but I keep telling
him he has the worst staff
in the world. On my first
    visit one of his staff
    members gave him a patient
    file that was at least
8 inches thick and I asked
if that was my folder and
    the staff member said yes.
It was not my folder and
since my 1st visit I could
    write a book about this
    doctor's office. BTW when
    she put the folder down
    on the manila cover was
    DOB...guess what 1918.

  3. I also am with Humana and have nothing but great relations with the Doctors. Right now am having a medical issue and the Dr. treating me is also the Vice Chief of Staff at Palms West Hosp. I spoke to my Primary Dr, told him that his office staff stunk and needed to be replaced. Answer was and I quote

I am an employee of Humana and have nothing and can do nothing about the office staff. They are hired, fired and transferred to other offices by Humana

  4. Very interesting Ken.
I was talking about Drs. offices that take Humana, I am not sure if any were Humana only, I have gone thru 4 before I found my current Humana Dr, who has excellent office staff. The others could not do referrals, you would find yourself prepped at a specialist office, having been assured that the referral would be done, NOT! They lost files, misplaced files, did not answer phone or phone messages, made constant excuses. I am talking about very simple tasks. I had to go to Clinical Access on several occasions, that is the Humana aid for when service is non-responsive and disastrous.
At one office the office manager was wife of one of Drs. The office has relocated and both Drs have bailed as far as I can tell, my records have not been forwarded after 5 months. One good reason to have central record backup.
