Re: Dave

I spoke to Dave this afternoon. No surgery scheduled on his other hip yet and he has no infection any more. He is really frustrated because he does not know why it is not scheduled. He loves his new hip and cannot figure out why he didn't do it long ago.

  1. Good news (except for the schedule) give him "our" best - keeping him in the PRAYERS.

  6. Hi Dave, glad to hear that you are happy with your new hip. About a year ago, I was convinced to have a colonoscopy. I don't like to be anesticized and refused it for a lot of years. My doctor convinced me that everyone over 50 should have a colonoscopy every five years. He explained: Polyps develop in the colon. They look like a grape on a stem with the stem attached to the colon. If left alone, the grape covers the stem and forms a cancer to the colon. During a colonoscopy, if they see a polyp, they can snip it out and therefore the threat of a cancer eliminated. The entire procedure takes about 20 minutes. You rest for another 10 minutes. Get dressed and go home and try to convince others that are holding back to get one. So you see, I too was reluctant to have the procedure done. So I understand your decision to leave your hip alone. But thank goodness your procedure worked well and you will fix your other hip, and think about a colonoscopy in the future. Good luck. I too believe in prayers.
