Some people are not happy with our west/south gate sign, they feel it does not say ‘welcome to the best of everything’! I think the problem is the overwhelming signs from businesses on Okee Blvd and our lack of frontage.
At least with our current sign it survives trucks, car carriers and other behemoths, and our errant drivers and hurricanes. I think a simple classic sign is fine, (fountains are endless problems).
Elaine makes a good point. I tell visitors coming off the turnpike to look for Citibank and then take a left turn. I think when our original C.V. sign went up, it was more easily visible. Now it looks like the "runt" of the sign litter on Okeechobee.
ReplyDeleteMe thinks a new higher sign should be be given some thought and as far as a water recycled is just as much maintenance as flowers or shrubs....Time to come in to the New Century
