Talking about illegal behavior, I saw a comment that looked real important, and then it disappeared, so here it is ( good thing I make a hard copy of all this stuff )
Grace,
If you don't have a budget meeting then YOU are in violation of State Law. I suggest you send a registered letter to Seacrest and dump the responsibility on them. Since I have your name, I will be reporting you and Seacrest to the State Department oif Business and Professional Registratiopn, Division of Condominiums.
You do that Anonymous and keep hiding under your rock. We are certainly not the only association not to have a budget meeting as I have looked into the matter. We do discuss our finances at our annual meeting. We are doing nothing wrong so you can slither back under your rock.
Since most of us are not satisfied with the present supervisor of elections, we should definitely vote for Susan Bucher. She has helped Century Village straighten things out many times. She has also served as a volunteer just after the storms a couple of years ago, checking on people, supplying water and a number of good deeds that needed to be covered afterward.
Susan ran during the recent primaries and commanded 47% of the vote. The other two candidates split the remainder. But Florida rules say that any one must have at least 50% to be recognized as the winner. Therefore, that is why Susan is running against the second runner-up. What a rule! A person gets 47% of a vote among three people. I would say that is a definite winner! Florida says, do it over with the second highest one! That is why we need Susan Bucher to get that rule cleared up!
Read your by laws, Section 4, D. A Management Firm or Board of Directors can adopt a budget for each fiscal year. Our BOARD approves the budget that Seacrest puts together for us each year. NOWHERE does it talk about a meeting. What are you blabbing about? Get a life.
Yes Susan was/is a State Representative. She cannot run for this office again because of term limits.
During the aftermath of the three hurricanes Susan was in the Village working her heart out. She helped get food, water and ice delivered when she wasn't bringing it in her own car.
Many people did yeoman's work but Susan was the one person who stood out in the crowd.
She has always been there for this Village and I will definitely be voting for her in November.
She has earned a great big THANK YOU from this Village.
If case you haven't noticed, you are in the State of Florida. Funny thing about Florida, it has laws also. So read FS 718 and watch over your shoulder for the State police to arrest you.

This is to help you so you can properly apologize.
I stand corrected, Anonymous. You are right. We will correct. I cannot understand why, when I bought my condo I was given our By Laws which are incorrect. Now you can go after UCO and find out why we never received an outside audit this year. I thought we were supposed to have it by now. Our UCO does not seem to want to have it done. Did you not ask for it Dave at a meeting?
The responsibility for the transfer of the condo document package is the seller and the buyer.
Why try to bring UCO into the mix. Yes, UCO has a set of problems all their own however the "outside audit" has been done.
I have a copy that was obtained from the treasure's office. The management letter is dated May 1, 2008.
Grace, you seem to be having some trouble with all of this but keep in mind that to the best of my knowledge I do not know you, however there are several of us in the village that could perhaps help you get through these trying times. Contact us via this forum.
Channel 63 has an announcement that, in December there will be a lecture on FS 718. Check for date and time and I am sure that this will be very helpful to you.
I brought up the outside audit because Dave asked the question at a UCO meeting. This audit, until you mentioned it has never been addessed by our UCO people at a meeting. I was very curious about it. thank you.
