This BLOG is for the use of Century Village residents and those interested in Condominium issues of concern to them. Because I have been so busy doing school work I have not had a chance to read the comments being posted. My name is Stew Richland Wexler is just one of the 535 elected officials that think they are smarter than us. One of the more interesting characteristics of being a long term elected official is that they feel they own their job. They really do forget who put them in office. It does take awhile for their piccadillos to surface but they do. In a free society such as ours we count on a free press to do their investigative reporting and let us, the voters, know what these representaties are doing. Unfortunately, this style of reporting has virtually gone out of style. So when we do find out about people like Wexler, the voter has to do some. You cast your vote for the other guy. What Wexler did is a perfect example of why only 23% of Americans have faith in their elected officials. Congressmen Wexler is just one of the reasons why? Please comment.
He fought for us to have paper ballots so that those that rigged the computer voting last time cannot do the same. Too bad we still have problems. He is a great friend to Israel as well if that means anything. Instead of slamming him read up on what he has done for us all.
What has Wexler done for CV? If nothing, why should CVers vote for him? What about him procuring a grant to fix our shoreline . We are old and poor people who don't have 2 million to fix it.If he wants our vote , let him do something for us.
The country is bad in shape because the politicians are taking care of everyone but the people who elect them. Take a look at the FEC records of any elected congressman and see where his money comes from. It sure isn't from his district. Wexler is no exception . Let him take care of us if he wants our votes.
We don't own the shoreline, Levy owns the shoreline. We are not responsible for installing new banks protection. We are only responsible for weed control and the new dam that was spelled out in Kurt's letter explaining the Millenium Agreement. Speaking of which, Kurt did not say we would be responsible for millions and millions of additional monies, and I bet the real estate people are not disclosing this "potential" burden on the new owners of millions and millions of dollars.
Maybe Wexler CAN help us by investigating why Levy is still in charge ( He's got all these Federal agents looking at Commissioners and developers )and making the elderly pay for his responsibilities.
