Dog & Cat Regulations

Boo hoo they won’t let us in CV and we are only 130 lbs each. Does any assoc that has allowed dogs have a copy of their ‘dog regulations’ or cats? Coventry K maybe!

  2. The biggest problem with big (or little) dogs is that UCo forbids them on common CV property. So if you want to walk your dog, it can only be around your association--not anywhere else

  3. Are they 55 years or older? (dog years of course).

  4. Hi All,

I will not mention the Association in question, but there is one on Campus that has a Pet Ammendment, allowing for "Two birds, two cats and/or two dogs in every unit.

  5. David,
The Association kennel in question actually paid an attorney to draft that amendment!

  6. Thx Mike, I am also hoping for a virtual version that I could cut and paste, I am interested in level of control for pickup, barking, snarling, warnings, fines.

  8. Does anon mean ‘no walking on UCO property’ is a problem for dogs/owners. I came here for peace and no dogs.
Why don’t dog walkers know the rules after all the publicity!! Or do they just flout rules? Yesterday I told a dog walker she was in wrong place on Lincoln St and my assoc. Is the Ranger car handing out warnings, they presumably know the main drags are UCO’s.

  9. No, UCO forbids dog walking. I think that means it is a problem to have dogs in CV, even if your association says ok.

  10. There are #1 groups that ignore regulations: dog owners, smokers, Budweiser drinkers (look at trash on ground), junkies, politicians…

  11. Dogs are only allowed to walk on Assoc. property, parking spots ,grass and sidewalks owned by assoc.

  12. To the person with those two large dogs (130 lbs each) They are quite large and it would be cruel to the animal to be confined in the condo all day and not being able to get out and walk.

I am sure there will be barking heard if these dogs can't get out in the fresh air.

Do yourself and the dogs a favor, look elsewhere.

    Aug 24, 2009 9:24:00 AM,

Let,s look at your statement; "UCO forbids dog walking"

Let's now go through a little exercise:

    Definitions:
    1) uco = those elected Officers who inhabit 2102, for 4 hours, 5 days per week.

    2) UCO = all Unit Owners of CV

Now let's say that uco prohibits dog walking on UCO property!

Well, ok; now let's say that UCO does not like that arbitrary restriction.

What is UCO's option? AS ALWAYS, a vote of the Board of Directors (That would be the Delegate Assembly)
To Allow dog walking on UCO property!!

Get involved; it's your Village, we just try to coordinate the administration of your expressed wishes and needs!

  14. Dave, I think they want to buy you a big scoop net and a doggie paddy wagon and send you on patrol.

    Aug 24, 2009 7:06:00 PM,

What would I be scooping, stray dogs or ambient dog deposits?

  16. You can fit in the dog patrols after teaching ten thousand people how to use the remote control.

Who is the patron saint of Condo Officers?

  17. In tomorrows news "Dave bitten by rabid old lady". Dave do not give ideas to irrational dog owners. 'Scuse the redundancy.

    Aug 24, 2009 7:44:00 PM,

Roger that, Clearly such a vote would demonstrate that the vast majority do not want dogs in CV.

But at least the minority would have their issue placed before the representitive electorate and would receive a message from the majority.

    Aug 24, 2009 7:13:00 PM,

Actually, we are planning to have classes to do exactly what you suggest. We must do this, because the comcast classes are just sales pitches in a thinly disguised form.

  20. How cool is that? I tell people things like this and they just don't believe me. I guess, in the real world, nobody puts out that kind of effort anymore for anyone else.

  21. Elaine , Your dog's are neat, when will you be walking them ? I'd like to meet them.

  22. anon -You would have to go to NW WA, the Newfoundlands like the weather and the icy water there. They live by my granddaughter, I thought their expressions were priceless. There are 4 of them, when they all ride in the pickup the back end tilts way down.
(I will not be bringing any dog into CV)
