1) You will need to file to get your Stimulus Check.
2) It is a simple matter of a few lines on the 1040A short form.

ReplyDeleteHi Dave, As you say, there is nothing complicated about it. People only receiving social security just need to fill out Form1040A (which they can get at the library).
ReplyDeleteBe sure to write on the top of form "Stimulus Payment", in red ink or marker (any color just to make it stand out more).
On the web address you referenced there is an example of a 1040 form filled out. It is very easy. Don't forget to put your social security benefits in line #14.
It was mentioned at the recent delegate meeting that the library on Okeechobee will be shutting down very soon for remodeling. It is expected to be closed for several months.

Hi Larry, I just read your comment. To be able to post, you need CVblogger (Dave) to send you an invitation to post. You can't post until he does that. You can only comment. That same thing happened to somebody else on our blog. See sidebar by Elaine for Dave's email address.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, I'm having my own problems with my computer. It's a mess since I downloaded Adobe updates a few days ago. It's gone a little crazy and I am having trouble doing everything. I can't even get restore to restore!
I'm not sure what happened to that post I put up about the ArtFest. It's a mess.
Sorry Dave - here I go off "Thread Breaking" This post is a total mess - and mostly because of me.
