2nd Official Blog Party - good food, good fun!

Hi All,

There is talk floating around the blog that it is time for us Bloggers to once again meet for a bite to eat, some great conversation, and lots of laughs. This will be our second gathering. Please let us know if you would be interested in coming.

Mike wants Italian and it should be his turn to pick because he was at the first gathering. Everybody that went to the first one, get's to choose this location. All of you that show up for this one, will get to choose the next location. Does that sound fair? But we should also try to make everybody happy.

Mike, have you got any other Italian restaurants in mind other than Carrabas? If we go there, I don't think we're going to get Capt John to join us after his last very bad experience a few days ago.

Ok everybody, suggestions please. Good locations and good dates???

    I am requesting either before May 11 or not until the end of May, beginning of June or I can't come. I've got something going on in the middle of the month that will make it impossible for me to come.

    How about Friday, May 9? Too soon?

    I had bad Carrabas experience too. Olive Garden has fresh parmesan! or we could find something near Dave's rehab and drop in on him!

    9th is "too soon" and NG for me and at Olive Garden, which IS good, Friday nights are VERY BUSY !!! I also agree with the END of May and we should think about a not busy week night.

    ps: Sorry - La FAMILIA is off Jog Road, in the Forest Hills Shopping Center, where the movie theater's were. The restaurant is right in the corner. It might be a bit small for 8 10 people. If interested, I will go down and get the exact address and ask about the group. It is NOT expensive and GOOD, but Olive might be a better choice, so I don't have to listen to Mike all-night --- DUH!

    If some are saying next week is too early, let's remember that the Memorial holiday falls on Monday, May 26. That might be "go away" week for some.

    How about Monday, June 2 or Tuesday, June 3? Or if too far away, how about next week, Monday, May 5 or Tuesday, May 6.

    Please comment the date of your choice and then we'll take a count.

    We can worry about location after we get the date picked.

    La FAMILIA or Olive Garden both sound good to me. Never been to La Familia. I'd like to try a new place.

    Ok - it looks like it will be La FAMILIA. I think we have that settled.

    We aren't hearing from too many others except Elaine, Mike, Capt and me. Isn't anybody else interested? I think Bob's going to New York....

    I expect to be gone upnorth before memorial day. That's ok I can find you guys by other means, except Capt John who I rarely understand anyhow!
    ChrisJ, It's a new gray variety of hibiscus, not sure of name but there was a new one I liked at the Hibiscus Show named Yoda.
