WORLD CLOCKS, NEW FEATURE
Hi All, Please note in the Side-Bar, six World Clocks. I would appreciate any comments or questions on this feature.
I have a company that works in many different time zones, it would be helpful if I could supply clocks like these to my staff. Can you tell me how I can go about setting up my own unique clocks? Would I need to have them listed on a web page, or could I simply create a URL that would bring them up automatically every time I go ot it? Basically I am asking how does it work. Thanks... Just curious
This is a GOOGLE Widget designed for BLOGGER BLOGS; however the basic World time chart representation is designed specifically to assist in Video/Teleconferencing planning.
In short it answers the question at a glance; "when is the best time to set up the call"
Here is the URL for the Chart, just select the "meeting" date then select up to 6 Cities and then GO.
May I further suggest the use of SKYPE, as Computer to Computer Audio/Video calls are free on the SKYPE Network and calls are High Grade Crypto Secure.
I have seen similar displays throughout the years. I always appreciated them. It was interesting to note that while we were getting up in the morning, people in other parts of the world were just going to bed. Also, when we went to work, others were going home. This was especially interesting to me as a child, I still find it fascinating. The time that it is now in WPB, it is 12 hours later in Beijing. It makes you feel someone is always awake and taking care of the world. Keep them displayed until you hear negativity.
Mojo sez 'Its always five o'clock somewhere'. I like widget treats from CVBlogger but I do not need them for more than 10 days, they are educational but, I know my country is 5hrs ahead. I do not think clocks need to be permanent. PS I love Skype + webcam, it sure entertains the grandkids.
Next time I take a trip to Moscow, I will know what time it is - DUH !!!

ReplyDeleteI like the clocks and would be very interested in seeing different countries listed from time to time. Thanks Dave.
ReplyDeleteLook at the times that all of the above comments were made. Many of our Blog friends are very much nocturnal people. Fun to see!
