It occurs to me that folks may, from time to time, have the need to do some translation.

The algorithm is reasonably robust but it is after all a machine translation which can leave something to be desired.

I find this spattered around the internet. All you have to do is play with person and tense, add zzzs and chat acronyms!

This is a "language variant" known as EBONICS, it is mercurial and morphs rapidly in accord with the "current cool"

A great controversy raged over this patois, culminating in it's designation by the Oakland California School Board as a valid language and causing it to be taught in their public schools.
Serious Linguists tend to avoid even discussing this issue; as it invariably leads to racism conflicts.
When this first surfaced; Analysts working on Wiretap intercepts in support of the Counter Narcotics effort literally had to be trained to "translate" Ebonics recordings to Standard English and the Government had to establish special classes.

In some circles, EBONICS is considered a romance language.
I did enjoy the ebonics version of the Night Before Xmas years ago, but as you say it has morphed.
