Richer Than Croesus, , I like this term , may use it myself some day. LOL
I do not believe that the County would even look at any proposal for a permit before it sees proper plans for the item as well as lots of back up information. Many initial permits are denied and with some changes are finally approved. This whole process is slow and difficult. Most permit applications are reworked many times before the permit is issued. That's how things work in Palm Beach County.

Seriously, even allowing for shades of meaning in codes and permitting, wouldn’t you think the architect would have more of a clue!
Is he fixed rate or billable hours.
