We found a dead raccoon on our property. I persuaded Security it was their job to get info on proper procedures but it was a lot like John Cleese skit, ‘It is an ex-raccoon, it is deceased, it is no more, etc.’
Facts:
Security told us we would have to wait 3 days over the weekend for Maintenance to remove said critter so we removed it.
County Animal Control will remove dead dogs and cats.
County Animal Control will remove sick wild animals.
County Animal Control will NOT remove dead WILD animals.

Hi Elaine,
It appears to be very simple;
"You simply can't get there from here"
Try telling animal control that it is a dead cat!!!
The "removers" may not know the difference, if you are lucky.
Tell them that as it died; you heard it say "meow"
Dave
Thanks for the smile, I do not know if you will find this funny (as I do). It is actually not written by John Cleese. It is a dandy summary for English people coming here, it clears up the major differences that you have to handle.
