My absence, has apparently been noted!
Your BLOGmeister has been in Hospital for 5 days for acute fluid retention; AKA Edema.
But I have returned and hope to catch up with odds and ends in due course.
Thanks to UCO President George Loewenstein and Betty Lapidus for the very nice card they sent to me in JFK.

Yippee! It just wasn't the same without you Dave. I thought maybe you went away. We all missed our fearless blog leader!!! I've been trying to figure out some new and interesting stuff to post, but so far nothing!!!
The guys have been keeping us laughing though with jokes and such.
I thought to myself, where the heck is Dave. He always posts great stuff that keeps us all chatting.
Sorry to hear about your health issue and hospital stay. I wish you a very speedy recovery.

I cannot think of anything worse than lying in front of a hospital TV watching 5 days and nights of Eliot Spitzer continuous coverage. Take it easy.
Dave, please see "Party Parrot" post when you catch up. Very important - we have to name our Parrot.
Hi Dave, could not imagine what happened to you. I thought we should name our parrot and asked you to pick the winner. Never saw another word from you and started to worry "Where is Dave" Glad to hear your back but sorry you took ill. Never mind this sick business we need you here and not in the hospital. Stay well.

Elaine, I can't imagine lying in bed for 5 days watching that Spitzer thing. The whole world has gone crazy. It's nuts out there!
