favorite authors, very humid

“Silly Parrot!”
Did Chris ask for favorite authors? I like Florida backgrounds, all the mad trips thru Florida, greed, vanity, crime, wild incongruity, swamps, alligators, and sunburn. Authors: Carl Hiaassen, Tom Corcoran, even Jimmy Buffett and Frank Cerabino (you owe us for that Frank). Edna Buchanan and Elmore Leonard are always great and sometimes wander into Florida.

Hi Letitfly, glad you asked. I love Mary Higgins Clark and seldom miss her latest book. They are wonderful detective type of adventure stories and the female character is always the one that solves the crime and saves the day. She is attractive, likeable and very honest and there is just a touch of romance to keep it interesting.

I also use to read a lot of Ken Follett, Dean Koontz, Sidney Sheldon, but truthfully haven’t read any of those in a while. Also use to love the stories about a certain ex-cop (can’t remember his name – Delaney or something like that). He was always describing those “Dagwood” sandwiches that he use to make and eat over the sink. His books were great and always made me hungry. One of them might have been something to do with the deadly sins.

Agree with you on Frank Cerabino. He is very funny and owes us big-time here in CV!

Thanks for asking, anybody else have some favorites?
