Hi All,
Sadly I report that Betty Lapidus, UCO Recording Secretary, has been hospitalized in Ft. Myers Florida for a fractured Hip.
She is at Lee Memorial Hospital.she has just had surgery and her son David reports thru Ed black that all went well.
Please do not flood her with calls right away; but your prayers for her speedy recovery will surely be greatly appreciated.

Betty's son David told me the break was "not that bad”, and that she was doing very well. I asked David to let Betty know we were all pulling for her speedy recovery and would await his call to begin our efforts to contact directly. He assured me he would let us know when she would become available to receive calls. He believed she would be out of bed today, as she begins her recovery.

Betty called today. Thanking the Village for our concern. She is, however, quite limited while still in the initall recovery and will therefore limit her time for telephone visits, for now.
