I met people that do not know that our crosswords are created right here. Every twisty devious clue, every down and across, every black square, are made by Dave Israel.
CV is a crossword hatchery (help what is right word?).
Are crosswords copyrighted?
Its time for a little bragging.
Dave was recognized by Cerabino, does anyone have the whole article in their archives?
KING OF THE CROSSWORDS KEEPS CENTURY VILLAGERS GUESSING Author: Frank Cerabino Date: August 22, 2007 Palm Beach Post
Century Village in suburban West Palm Beach has its own crossword puzzle.
You probably don't know about it. Most people in Century Village don't know about it. "So far, there's only one person who consistently responds," said David Israel, 67, a retired National Security Agency cryptographer who began making crossword puzzles this summer for the amusement of his fellow condo dwellers. >>>

Hi Elaine,
I hold no Copyright, feel free to use the puzzle as you see fit. As you note, the trick is in the clues, clearly I could make them easier, but I think our Villagers appreciate stretching a bit to solve the puzzle.
I have the original article in it's entirety if someone wants a scanned copy, I had to keep the only record of my 15 minutes of fame and of course my Mom loves the article.
Dave
I had not idea that Dave was creating the crossword puzzles. He is one amazing guy!
Too bad I do so poorly at them. But I will keep on trying.

That is quite an accomplishment by our CVBlogger! Just think, a positive Frank Cerabino article about a CV resident. I am amazed! Way down deep, I'm pretty sure that Frank loves us CV folks!

Nyah, we are just raw material for Frank’s new book Shady Palms 5Republicans in Love

He was right about Dave tho’
“no bigger authority in CV … unimpeachable oracle”.
Why Lois Rogers, well "Lois was, by most accounts, the prettiest woman in Shady Palms. She was a strawberry blond whose great legs and natural good looks had been supplemented by a small fortune in top-notch cosmetic surgeries. She was also one of the most toxic women in the condo. By the time Jacqui first met her, Lois had already buried three husbands, a fact that first made Jacqui sympathetic but soon made her wonder whether Lois was a contributing factor to their rapid physical deteriorations. For several years now, Lois had been carrying on a stuttering love/hate affair with Ricardo Vera, a Cuban-born Palm Beach sugar magnate who lived in an oceanfront mansion - a fact that didn't impress Lois enough to leave Shady Palms and accept his frequent marriage proposals.
Stealin' from Frank Cerabino ;-))
Never followed Frank's Shady Palms stories. I've heard good things about it. Maybe I should get the book.

I know someone that is very good at crosswords puzzles, but is having a devil of a time with this one.
Keep them coming Dave. We won't give up.
fi fi you do not need to buy latest book. Use this link http://www.palmbeachpost.com/accent/content/shadypalms4/chapter1.html
On the left you can choose which chapter to read. I am only up to 13 but it looks as if they will all remain online during April.
Hi Lois,
I like Franks novels; I would like to see him write some more Sherlock Holmes type books, some suggested titles would be:
1) Murder on the Common element.
2) The Condominium corpse.
3) Death in the Private Pool.
4) The assessment assignation.
5) the corpse in the clubhouse.
6) Murder at the annual Meeting.
7) Larceny with legal notice.
All who-dunnits of course!!!
Dave
Crime of the Century, (groan)
Association Angel
The Operations Killing Cmte.
Assessments of Evil
Bylaw Bones
Q&A Qrimes
Unsolved Crime Opportunities
Unidentified Corpse Offset (fizzle)
Frank could do it, his daily cliffhangers are skilled. Maybe we could clone him, he doesn't even have time for Blogaroni these days.
