I am posting a lot of wimpy stuff but I have to get rid of it before the anti anons kill the blog.
I thought this was a just-right paint job, not too much, not too little. It is manila vanilla with terra cotta walkways. The balustrade which tends to chip and peel is left white – smart. Go see Camden C, it is less pink than the photo. Note - When the whole village is white it becomes indistinguishable from an air force base. That’s all folks.

The Anti anony's will give you a good thrashing for posting all this frilly stuff. Mike lol
Elaine:
Have you seen what a great
paint job was done at
chatham O. It's white
background with terra cotta
trimming. Absolutely
outstanding.
Take a look at Sheffield K--not bad either.
I would recommend looking at Wellington E. Gold is in.
gold should not be in it looks cheap
Thanks for the paint tour recommendations. I expect Chatham O saved $ by using less color but to great effect. Sheffield K is one of those coffee latte bldgs, they look good, too good, I cannot drive thru Northampton either they are cappuccino and cream, same thing with Wellington E - I saw it in the sunset one time and got a craving for a large block of cheddar cheese!
I like the pale colors. I would think the darker colors would draw more heat, higher electric bills.

To FiFiLaFoof:
I absolutely disagree with
you that darker colors will
give you a higher electric
bill. I moved to CV in
August, 2003 and the highest electric bill I
have received to date is
$69.96. My last electric
bill was $28.11.
BTW...I live at Chatham O
and our buildings are white
with terra cotta trimmings.
Hi Nutmegger,
I thought maybe the buildings that were painted a dark color would draw more heat (kind of like a black car). Just guessing. I could be absolutely, postively wrong.
It's just that when I have dark clothes on, I seem to get much hotter in the sun than when I have white or cream colored clothes.
Maybe I'm full of baloney and don't know what the heck I'm talking about.
Anybody want to add their 2 cents?
The white with the tara cotta sounds nice. I am going to have to take a little sight seeing trip to see all these places.
