Crane @ Golf's Edge?

Does anyone know why the big red crane is parked at Golf's Edge near the Haverhill Gate?

speaking with someone from UCo...The Water Company is installing new equipment....AT THEIR EXPENSE....

You will see the large parts nedded for this project on site.

And where does the water company get its money Ed, Hmmmm! I know you mean they are not charging us twice.
How did you like the explanation of why PBCWUD needs a surcharge. They say water restrictions have resulted in lost revenue needed to cover fixed costs, and they send along a chart that clearly shows that they have base facility fees to cover fixed costs, and actual water is separate. Special PBCWUD economics.

Unless I am mistaken the repairs and upgrades are for the SEWER system not water lines.There is a County Sewer Pump Station at that location.

To whom it may concern,

The construction at the east gate is to replace the old lift station. The sewage water flows into the station and at a certain signal from the electrical pumps and devices, it is pumped to a disposal plant presumably elsewhere. It's quite a large job and they should be around for a awhile.

They must dry up the ground by driving long pipes into the area around it. Hoses are connected to the top of the drill points and connected to those white pipes, which in turn is connected to a large suction pump that will discharge the water to a local canal or whatever.

If aybody know anymore than this, I stand corrected. This is the type of work I did before I retired.

Dear Underground - Can you help with this one. My building has roots in the outflow line, if I flush a 1/2 cup of copper sulfate crystals down the toilet a couple times a year. Will the crystals adhere to the roots and eventually kill them. (per the internet) and is it environmentally sound?
