In order to allay any concerns about David’s next surgery, I must bring you up-to-date.
On Monday, May 12, 2008 David was to have had his second surgery for hip replacement.
That was derailed because of concerns about the original site ( first surgery ) possible infection. To that end they are continuing to delay the proposed second surgery, while they allow his system to completely recover from the first procedure.
Will keep you informed of progress as I can.

Thanks a million for keeping us up to date.
We at CV are praying and
I am taking a positive
thought that Dave will come
out a brand new man...the
same nice man that I met a few years ago. Remember
David, there is a reason
that God closed one of your
windows and that is that
he is going to open up a
bright, healthy window.
A Votre Sante
Hi Ed,
Thanks for keeping us informed. Is there anything any of us could do to help? Would Dave like visits or privacy? Does he need any errands run? Is there anything we could do for his mom?
Please let us know what you think.
chris
More weeks with no incisive analysis, no dazzling data mining, (big sigh).
Initially Dave was joking about having 100 days covered for rehab, no more jokes like that!
Hi Chris and all
Trust that I've offered to do just that.... errands or help in any way.
David has setup everything he needs! He is quite organized and to his credit planed for every eventuality.
I believe he is doing quite well as very little deflects his extraordinary persona, which is exceptional given the fact that time is nearly at a temporary standstill.
He is truly quite “the man”
I am sure if he wants calls he is capable of disseminating this either on the BLOG or through me, which has not yet happened, in part because of the delays and immediate timeline issues, certainly.
Accordingly, I shall keep you informed.

I really miss Dave
on the blog. All that great knowledge and helpful information he shares with us, his wonderful wit, his warmth.
I miss those endearing "Hi Anony Mous".
His toughness on issues that he believes in, as well as the graciousness that he brings daily to the blog.
DAVE, WE MISS YOU!!! GET WELL and HURRY BACK!
chris
Thanks Ed.
Unfortunately the person who normally sends our get well cards for UCO is also in rehab at this time.
I would like to add, that I’ve been to see Betty as well. She is doing well and working on the rehab with her usual gusto!
When visiting the Morse, it is like old home week. Many CV in rehab and guests visiting as well.
There are many who now call Morse home as well.
A well maintained and well operated facility.
