Why tie yourselves in knots with ill-defined polls. Everyone who registered as a posting author on the Blog has the power to delete their own posts. If you really regret something you said, why not delete it. It was probably cathartic, its usefulness is over, nuke it.
I have not consulted the Blog Cmte on this, however, some personal responsibility would be fine with me. Better than censorship that will cause more arguments.

If you really want to flagellate yourselves, you could put a note on the blog, ‘My bad! post removed, no world shaking ideas were hurt in the removal of my thread.’
As I read back thru the Blog I saw sometimes a sharp remark would cause another in retort, no big deal!
There were maybe 4 posts where I would not miss the whole thing (not mine), some included recall comments.
