OPERATIONS COMMITTEE AND THE WATER FOUNTAINS

Hi All,
One of the many items discussed at the Operations Committee meeting today was the work in progress on the water fountains.

We are working with Florida Power and Light (FPL), who will install a transformer which will allow connection of the fountains to the local power grid. FPL is very busy at this time due to extensive damage to the FPL infrastructure caused by TS Fay.

In due course the connection will be made; at that time we must determine the condition of the pumps and what degree of corrosion is involved, it is not clear that the fountains will just plug in and work.

So, please be patient and be assured that the issue is being worked by UCO and WPRF jointly.

Also, consider attending the Operations Committee meetings, as many interesting and important matters are discussed.
