Hi David:
Today I spent the day with my daughter to celebrate her birthday
even though her birthday is Sept. 3. She is a teacher at Dwyer H.S.
and on Wednesday evenings she teaches ESOL at FAU so we
celebrated her birthday today. I didn't get on your Blog until around
7:00 PM tonight and I saw you granted my wish for a puzzle that
takes brains to do it. When I read 16 Across (Lilly Loses) I lmao
when I wrote in the answer which is "Nutmegger Fails."
Guess what Dr. David Israel, Phd I found errors in your puzzle.
Do you find that impossible??? The first one is you better learn
how to spell.....50 Across....carnivorous mamal????? There is no
such word as MAMAL. The next error I find is 22 Down. Manitoba
(abbr...) you only have 2 spaces....The abbr. for Manitoba takes 3
spaces (MAN) is the answer. The other one that bothers me is
11 Down. You have "name of -" and would you please tell me
name of what? I'm going to bed now and tomorrow I will look
for your answers to my BLOG.
Good Night David

Hi Lilly,
Unfortunately, complaining about my spelling errors will not help you solve the X-word.
As for Manitoba; I suggest you consult the Official Canadian Postal abbreviations list to determine the 2 (TWO) letter abbreviation.
As for the clue: "Name of ~"
Do your research; no hints to be given.
Thus it is clear that my "mistake" pales to insignificance compared to yours, in imagining that you can solve my X-word puzzle.
Dave Israel
This is WAR. lol
Yes Mike IT IS WAR but a
friendly fire war. I know
what 1 person wants to
call it "Nuts vs Professor
but that person is dumb
and plastic so I pay no
attention to him.
TO OUR FRIENDLY FIRE WAR...
MAY THE BEST WIN!
David:
If you are allowed to have
errors I should get the
same treatment as you.
Look up briar...it's not
spelled that way....it is
spelled brier.
What fair if fair in our
Friendly Fire War.
May the best one win and
I just know it's me.
Your Loyal Friend
Lilly
Not nutS - nut !!! again, STUPIDO !!!
Hi Nutmegger,
You are simply wasting time instead of doing research, de-facto, it is spelled both ways:
-----------------------------------
bri•er 1 also bri•ar (br r)
n.
Any of several prickly plants, such as certain rosebushes or the greenbrier.
________________________________________
[Middle English brer, from Old English br r.]
bri•ar 1 also bri•er (br r)
n.
1. A Mediterranean shrub or small tree (Erica arborea) whose hard, woody roots are used to make tobacco pipes.
2. A pipe made from the root of this plant or from a similar wood.
-------------------------------
Ok!!!
Now kindly admit your failure to solve my X-word, and we may move along briskly to the next x-word which you will fail to solve.
Dave Israel
Professor Israel:
Don't you dare think that
I am giving up this puzzle.
But you didn't answer my
question that if it's OK
for you to make errors I
should have the same
treatment that I give you.
Isn't that the way our
Friendly Fire War should be.
Hi Nutmegger
Sep 3, 2008 10:23:00 AM,
Except for a typographical error in the word mammal, none of your so called errors have proven to be, in fact, errors at all.
Now if what you are asking is; does that typo give you license to place bad answers in the X-word, the answer is, of course not.
Now, simply admit that you are incapable of solving the X-word and we may move on to the next X-word which you shall also be found wanting to solve.
Dave Israel
This is fun watching. Thanks for the laugh to both of you scholars. (I mean that in a good way, of course!)
Good Evening David and it is a very absolutely good evening. I hate to be the
one to break your so called
brain which gave me no
credit whatsoever to
complete your puzzle
because I think you forgot
the brilliant brain that
I and only me owns. You
are not correct that your
typo doesn't count. What
if I was a bad speller like
you and I didn't know how
to spell mammal I probably
would still be working on
this dumb puzzle. When I
read No. 11 down and it
says "name of: (with a
hyphen next to it and you
wouldn't answer my question
I have no choice but to
believe that "name of"
means a title which will
make your 16 across (you
know the one that says
Lilly Loses well I hve
no choice but to answer
it as "Nutmegger Faits."
What would you like me to do with my finished puzzle.
Am I to mail it to you or
can I put it on your BLOG
so everyone will see that
I did master your puzzle.
When is the next one coming out. I can hardly
wait. So I was right
that I would be the winner
of our Friendly Fire War.
I am floating on Cloud 9
right now and I will await
for your comments which
I am sure you will try to
find many...but don't
waste your precious time.
Good Night David and
Sweet Dreams
The Winner: The Nutmegger
Hi Nutmegger
Sep 3, 2008 9:42:00 PM,
Please do scan in your results onto the BLOG, so that all may witness your abject failure.
Dave Israel
To Professor David who hold
about 6 degrees including
2 Phd's I have to admit
that I do not own a scanner
nor do I know how to use one. Just remember that
with all your degrees I
only have a High School
Diploma.
Will await for Step 2 so
you can see for yourself
that this dumb H.S. graduate has ACED every
puzzle you have posted.
John Sapanaro is my
witness and that is the
reason I am using a pseudo
"The Nutmegger" because
every Sunday in the CV
Accent John S. would
announce that Lilly Roberts
is the winner and I told
John S. that I was getting
tired of reading "Lilly
Roberts" and I asked him
if I could use a pseudo
and he agreed and that is
how I became............
THE NUTMEGGER.
Please let me know Step 2.
The Very Bright Ace who
only hold a H.S. diploma.
LILLY.....THE NUTMEGGER.
what exactly does "Nutmegger" mean?
Hi Nutmegger,
Of course you may forward your "solution" by Snail Mail.
Dave Israel
To Anonymous:
I am from the great State
of Connecticut and it's
nickname is "The Nutmeg
State" thus that is how
I got the name "The
Nutmegger." The official
name is "The Constitional
State. At times I do miss
not living in Connecticut
because there are a lot of
things I love to do and
two of them is to go to
Foxwood and Mohegan Sun casinos. But most of all
I miss my wonderful and
very given and generous son and his family.
So now you know what a
Nutmegger is.
To The Professor:
It just dawned on me that
tomorrow morning there is a
delegate meeting so instead
of snailing it to you I will personally give you a
copy of YOUR PUZZLE THAT
I ACED.
See you tomorrow
The lowly H.S. diploma
who aced your puzzle.
