Useful UCO

What are the most useful services you would like UCO to provide:

1. Make a sample simple letter for associations to inform their residents of their new insurance obligations.

2. Add the info in UCO’s “Welcome to Century Village” brochure to the CV website Infolink. Put a title For New Residents. (Many thanks to the website staff for a great job of content and updates.)

And ? ? ?

Find a competent CAM with a secretary and dissolve UCO.

Regarding #1. There is no new insurance information needed. No association is going to buy insurance for their unit owners just to make the adjuster's job easier. This law will be thrown out in it's first court testing.

Allstate told me today that they would add the required $2,000.00 Loss Assessment to my policy on Jan 1 ’09 and send bill, I do not know if they can add the Association as co-insured without my/your ok. Do you think this law will go away?

I also have Allstate and called them last week for the same reasons. Allstate told me that the $2,000 loss assessment was not yet available. Allstate would have to amend their bylaws before they could apply the $2,000. However, they immediately added my association to my insurance policy.
Don't know if that is correct, it is just what I was told.
