Mike:
You are so correct. Last
night on HBO channel 27
their screen apparently
was frozen and a picture
of a woman was shown but
in the background you
could hear the voices.
It's the same today Nutmegger
I presume the entire Village is the same? by now this (27) should have been corrected? or has I stated on previous post at times you can't mess with these Guys, are we being punished? for letting them know we disliked the losing of channels, I hope not, these
communication systems dislike anyone who challenges its Brand.
Yes this account is huge but won't let any precedent intefer, with
the upcoming plans they have to go forward with the plans they have established. That is just my own perception of what is going on,
Do we have any feed back from CSI
on how they are doing to at least give us some info.
Mike, (a) Comcast let UCO into their head-end yesterday, could be the UCO effect.
(b) Has anyone tried phoning Comcast to let them know of problem? nmj
Hi All,
This is an interesting problem and there is only one way to fix it at this point.
If only 1 or 2 people call the procedure at Comcast is to roll a truck in due course to each address.
Clearly this is not a problem that can be fixed at our end, as it is what Comcast considers an "Area Wide" issue.
The trigger point to obtain the "Area Wide Issue" declaration is 100 calls from the same area.
So! start calling, encourage your neighbor to call and in due course they will fix this issue at their Head End!!
As always, please do not shoot the messenger!
Please call 655-3842

Hi Giacomo
Jan 31, 2009 1:55:00 PM,
Great question Re. CSI.
They have been doing outstanding work for CV.
To date they have arranged presentations by 4 potential providers of Broadband services. These presentations have been to your Cable Committee and to selected UCO Officers.
We have heard from Hawkins Broadband, Hotwire Communications, AT&T U-Verse services and of course Comcast.
We have also visited the Offices and/or Head-Ends of Hotwire, AT&T and Comcast.
These presentations have been Proprietary in nature thus they have not been open to the entire Unit Ownership. However in due course no decision will be made without full briefings to our Owners and of course a Vote of the Delegate Assembly.
Every effort is being made by your Cable Committee to obtain the best possible deal for our Village as regards Content and Price.

Just got off the phone with comcast and she did not know if anyone else had called about the Ch27 issue or not . I expressed to her that it was an area wide issue, CV having 74 hundred units all with the same problem. She said she understood but could not get a technician out here until Weds. or so. So much for Comcast , We gotta get away from these people. Mike
HBO (CH 27) is now viewable.
