Can someone tell us why the table umbrella's haven't been replaced yet at the Clubhouse pool? I know it's been at least two years since they blew off.
Also, why isn't smoking prohibited under canopies at satellite pools (as it is at Clubhouse pool area)? Many people smoke under the canopy (especially cigars) and the smell is trapped under there.
Thanks

You can't have table umbellas at the pool because the G L admistration spent 1 million on the UCO offices so they can be comfortable. CV unit owners comfort is not a consideration.
Isn't WPRF responible for the umbrellas? I for one, am proud and happy that CV at WPB finally has a professional looking administrative building, where our
VOLUNTEER executive officers can work in comfort.
I don't think smoking should be allowed at any of the pools. Smokers should go outside the gate and smoke.
I also don't like the loud radios that some people play. What about headphones?
ok, let's tell all those ladies smoking cigars to stop! What gate should the smokers hang at? forget loud radios - hopefully they drown out the peeps who need hearing aids --the screamers who shout across the pool ----how picky should we get?
If you want to listen to music, and use your ear phones so others may read in peace...Thank you...be considered of your neighbors.
I think CUO should lighten up , take a happy pill before subjecting people at the pool to that attitude.
I don't think smoking is a petty issue. The main pool is where guests' children swim and they should not be exposed to second hand smoke.
As for the loud music; why should anyone else have to listen to your music?
Another rule that is not being followed is that I have seen young children swimming at the Kent pool. Doesn't anyone read the posted rules?
Everyone that finds something irritating at the pools, such as smoking, making noise, radios, and most of all, children, can be satisfied very easily if they would just use their head. They should stay home and lay in their bathtub. This way, they can get any kind of noise they wish with a little battery radio and everybody would be happy, including their neighbors at the pool.
Dear CUO- people may read the rules but that doesn't mean they follow them - how about the dog owners who parade their pets round the campus? And can't the racoons read - private property- no walk thru? I don't think guests' children outrank residents who have chosen to be smokers.
Where does it say we can't parade our dogs on our ( UCO ) property ??
yea where is it writ that dogs cannot be walked on UCO pooperty?
Is there archive of Official notices from the UCOReporter?
It is a RULE that children are only allowed at the main clubhouse pool. But who is suppose to be the enforcer? It is a shame that a few selfish people ruin it for everyone else!
As I earlier wrote, your music should not be inflicted on others. What is so terrible about using headphones?
It has nothing to do with "lightening up". Why should many have to suffer while the few ruin the atmosphere the pool?
Security chair Al McLaughlin reported 14,600 guests entered CV in May. The annual pass issuance started June 2d. Maps will be given out at the gates to any visitors requiring them. Dogs are not allowed to be walked on any property other than on the grounds of the association permitting their occupancy.
I also have been told that dogs can only be walked on the property that the Association owns.
It makes sense. Many dog owners do not clean up after their pets. I have seen it happen at many developments that do allow pets. I am also surprised that the guards let visitors in with their dogs!
I have often seen a black cat running around the Kent pool. Some people are allergic and others just don't like cats. They should be kept inside for their own safety.
Dave,
Where does it specifically state that dogs cannot be paraded on our (UCO) property ??

Hi A Nony Mouse

Other than in the Minutes of Security Committee meetings, I doubt you will find it anywhere.
It is an arrogated position spinning out of the fact that most buildings do not permit dogs.
Would it stand up in Court?
I doubt it!

Any Association that abides within its own by-laws and accordingly has NO PETS, requires those, who approved a pet policy or those that ignore theirs, keep their “pet's dropping” to themselves, it just stands to reason.
When your Association permits you to have a pet, they CANNOT authorize you the use of the common elements of any other Association or the common element of the UCO managed areas EITHER.
Some of our residents bought here knowing there would be no dogs, of which they are quite fearful.
Others find the arrogance of owners not PICKING-UP after their dogs to be quite offending.
No one of us has the unalienable right to infringe on anyone else, whether it is smoking, foul language or excrement by pet.
We are a community, meaning we must attempt to live together and attempt to get along, rather that have fistfights in the Theater. The above are just fairness issues, and most of us understand and do comply.
