I have never seen a Financial Cmte Meeting listed in the Open Meetings. Apparently there was one 8/11 mentioned after it was long gone.
In the August UCO Reporter there is a notice of a Budget Seminar for 9/15, sounds very educational, is it to study personal budgets or the CV budget? In the September UCO Reporter there is NO notice, however, at the end of GL’s notes there is mention of a workshop for input 9/15! Ahah must be an open meeting. There are 2 large notices that the UCO Financial Statement is available, seems like that would have been a good location to notice an important Financial Cmte Meeting in a more timely manner.

OPEN MEETINGS - REDUX 2
The following is extracted from the CV Q & A:
Author: Bettie L. Bleckman
Date: 04-06-09 17:12
Could not one of the Executive Board Members, since there are 20 who were recently elected, take on the responsibility of either posting directly all of the scheduled meetings, or contacting the web master to do so?
Am I to conclude "on line" postings, are eliminated, with only ch. 63 or bulletin board postings, now the only source? By bulletin boards, I am referring to those at Hastings, Club House & UCO bldg.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Bettie,
It is my understanding that Mary Patrick Benton keeps CV Site Webmaster informed of the Open Meetings and that he posts them to the Open Meeting tab.
I shall inquire of Mary tomorrow, if that is the case.
Meanwhile, please see:
http://www.centuryvillagewpb.org/dates.htm
I note with interest that a very important meeting of the Finance Committee is not posted at the above referenced Site namely:
Friday, April 17th. at 2:00pm in the 2102 conference room.
This is in no way meant to be critical; as the fact of this meeting was just made know today
04/07/2009.
Agenda
1. Legal Fund
2. $$$ remaining from HBO Grant
3. Comcast $$$ re. new contract

Simultaneous Open Mtgs
09/09 Tue 9:30 am Irrigation/Infrastructure Channel 63
09/09 Tue 10:00 am Maintenance Room C
Open meetings takes more than an open door, residents need to be able to go to both of these meetings, Pat Blunck our LCAM should also probably be able to go to both. You have plenty time to adjust this UCO.

Open meetings will open your eyes - GO
Dave, many thanks for an excellent campaign and mucho education. Village knowledge will be bigger and better with the help of the Blog and Open Meetings. I went to the Operations Cmte meeting, wow group dynamics... Open meetings will open your eyes, and help keep George in line a little.
We got to meet the bitter anonymous (most probable) at the rally, too bad Dave has a neighbor like that. A pity she does not grasp that the best people become angry when they see lies, cheating, repression, and the elderly taken advantage of. (WWJD)

Open Executive Board Mtg.
Many villagers took the opportunity to go to the open Executive Board Mtg. yesterday. What did you think of it??
They did lock the door, not sure why, but opened it for every knock. I thought we would see a wild bunch in their natural habitat, but it was a lot like the committee reports at Delegate Mts.
I was very impressed by Claudette LaBonte, she is wrestling the bus fuel bills 10 ways, she clearly enjoys challenges, brings in all possible resources, never quits. Someone thought she had a lot on her plate, not a problem. Great to see a true 'can do' problem solver in action.
Major hard workers making great strides IMHO were Sal Bummolo, Claudette, Ted Silverman. Of course there is a lot more to it than that, try a meeting sometime.

Proposed Amendment to the "Open Meeting Resolution"
As promised, I have tweaked the "Open Meeting Resolution" to permit the Officers' Committee to handle the day to day business of UCO without the notice or agenda requirements contained in the original Resolution. This proposed amendment will likely be presented to the DA on 08/01/08 for their consideration. If approved, the original "Section 3" becomes "Section 4"
....
Section 3: THAT the Officers’ Committee shall be exempt from these meeting provisions in order to make the mundane and low impact decisions necessary to be made on a regular basis, except, that the monthly meetings or Special Meetings or any “casual gathering” on matters that require the approval of the Executive Board and/or the Delegate Assembly shall be bound by the provisions of this Resolution. The minutes of ALL Officers’ Committee Meetings, except for meetings with an attorney regarding proposed or pending litigation, shall be presented in written form to the Executive Board and Delegate Assembly on a monthly basis; and

MEETINGS IN THE DARK -BUSINESS AS USUAL
Hi All,
The lack of respect for the Unit Owners of CV goes on unabated in the actions of Treasurer Dorothy Tetro..
First it is important to understand that UCO VP Frank Cornish in the full spirit of the Open Meetings Resolution has called a meeting of the Officers Committee. The meeting will be in the Clubhouse on Wednesday July 16, 2008 at 10:00 AM. This meeting will be properly noticed on Monday the 14th. The essence of the Agenda will be appointment of replacements for the resigned President and the resigned Vice Presidents. This will be a meeting open to CV Unit owners, thanks Frank.
Ms Tetro, a solid Loewenstein sycophant, in direct violation of the Open Meetings Resolution, and in utter contempt of the rights of the Unit Owners is attempting to stack the deck. She has called a meeting of the Officers, said meeting to be on Monday at UCO at 9:30am in order to preselect other Loewenstein supporters to fill the vacant slots. This meeting is to be unannounced to the Unit Ownership, in short, without proper notice. If you can't obey our Bylaws; resign!!!
Madam Treasurer and other Officers; wake up, this is exactly what the conflict was about at the Delegate Assembly meeting of July 11th, 2008.
your Monday meeting is flat illegal and you are warned against holding it.
Wait until wednesday and do it legally.
All of you BLOGGERS, be at UCO, Monday at 9:30 am and remind the Officers of their duty.
