Still hoping the Taj may not be needed, but there is an interesting question on the CV website “Does anyone know if the "new & improved" UCO is going to be a GREEN facility, built to LEED specs with a GOLD rating???”. Going GREEN would add considerably to the time, paperwork and cost of building, could be years …
I got a George L slap down when I asked the architect if he had seen Struct-All building systems – a faster, stronger, safer system.

Hi Elaine,
On June 22, 1969, the Cuyahoga River near Cleveland, Ohio, choked with toxic and flammable pollutants, literally caught fire!
I remember having serious thoughts as to what we Humans were doing to the Planet and on that day I became a Card Carrying member of the Sierra Club.
Having said all that, I am mindful of the fact that the new UCO building is not going to be a Catalytic Cracker, A Paper Mill or a Nuclear Power Plant.
In short, this 5000 Square foot building, will have a Carbon Footprint that will be quite minimal and it will not be emmitting Toxic Fluids or Gasses; perhaps just toxic ideas and policies!
I think we can dispense with the incredible additional expense that would append to GREEN/LEED standard building protocols.
Florida Planning, Zoning and Building Codes should be quite sufficient.
Just one man's opinion!
In any case, I really doubt that this edifice needs building at all; restoration of amicable relations with WPRF, which would devolve from the Election of Bob Marshall, would open the door to placing many UCO functions in the Clubhouse, thus obviating the need for the new building completely.

Right on Dave! Sorry Elaine....
Dear friends, I confused you with my TMI, stream of consciousness, and non-sequiters.
The green question was on Q&A, I was only toying with the idea of delays and that it might never get built if it was 'Green'. Maybe I can find a gopher tortoise, burrowing owl, or gray bat on the site. Then you would see real delays.
Maybe delays would allow sanity to return to our processes.
Different topic - Struct-All is just fast and hurricane proof, that was an idea from 2 years ago.
