CV needs a calm and level-headed president of UCO, Dave Israel has demonstrated this for years and also with his workmanlike expertise on the Blog where he has researched and answered hundreds of questions. I think much of the reason for Dave’s steadiness is that with his efficient technical answers, there is no need for politics and confusion.
More Dave, more business, less politics.
Kipling wrote about UCO!!
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:..
Its too bad the 'anonymous' is plastering howie stuff on every thread, ignorance and disrespect!

What may be needed in the next UCO president is no so much "technical sense" but "business and common sense". The president has to deal not only with financial and technical matters but with "PEOPLE".
I agree. We need a president who know how to connect with people. Technical sense and knowledge are fine but you also must have hands on experience in dealing with people on a day to day basis.
Many corporations get their presidents from the ranks of the sales staff rather than the accounting or technical staff. Why? because the sales staff are the ones that deal with the people who purchase the company's products and thus have more insight into what the customers want and what sells. UCO IS a business and needs a president that can deal with the "customer" our residents.
Anonymous is right in several ways. I was only listing ONE of Dave's many talents. In Dave's list of things to consider he sees the need for a wide range of expertise. Dave has been great with people - on many cmtes and on Blog. It is exactly because Dave does keep his head that he is right for the "customer" our residents.
