Shorter Delegate Meetings

There is no soliciting allowed in the village.
Why do we have those various commercial presentations at the beginning of the Delegate Meetings. Those commercial interests could put info in the UCO Reporter. I think Delegate meetings would be more popular if they were shorter. Delegates should not have to have bus anxiety and miss New Business. If you want to liven things up the chairman could tell a new joke at the beginning of each meeting.
I do not mean make fun of Leo, that was in very poor taste.

The Delegates Meetings need to return to being a method of transferring substantive information to the Delegates.

Please remember that the information presented has been heard at the Officers mtg., then at the Executive Board and finally at the Delegate Assembly.

The person chairing the meeting and those presenting need to remember that for the most part the Delegates are hearing this for the first time.

Go slow, be factual and listen for the idea gems that often come from this group.

The delegate meeting is a business meeting. It's time to seperate the social and political functions of UCO from the duties they have taken on over the years. No volunteer group can be all things to all people. That is an impossibility.
With David Israel at the helm of UCO we can be certain that UCO will function as a business.
Many very qualified people have visions of unending social services  for the residents. They are willing to give of their time and talent; however, it is my opinion those services should not be a function of UCO. Perhaps UCO should concentrate on helping non-functioning association  learn to function under 718 etc.
Perhaps we need consolidation of associations?
Could be we need professional management?
Having anybody and everybody make up rules as they go leads to the chaos we witnessed last Friday. I thank the delegates for recognizing the difference between tyranny and democracy.
Good luck David Israel. And good luck to all of us.

I second that and it's worth repeating. GOOD LUCK TO DAVE ISRAEL and good luck to all of us!
