Arbitration - - SETTLEMENT MADE

It is certainly interesting that the Court ordered both sides to negotiate, mediate, and then arbitrate, failing all else. The parties, WPRF and UCO (Operations Committee) were instructed to follow the self-curing resolution process provided for within the Millennium Agreement.
So why now do we need EMERGENCY OFFICERS, EMERGENCY EXECUTIVE BOARD, AND DELEGATE ASSEMBLY MEETINGS?

Doesn’t this decision belong to the Operations Committee, alone? Certainly the Delegate Assembly NEVER approved the supposed “class action lawsuit” led by Mr. Solomon. Why now ask our permission to take an appropriate action, when you didn’t even consider our views before?

I also wonder, what is the emergency? When Mr. Levy offered his first proposal, he willingly agreed to provide for the winter residents to return prior to the expiration of his offer! What’s the emergency?

Mr. Tennyson offered his legal opinion that a minimum of 7 days notice was required before a meeting could be acknowledged as a “properly noticed meeting”, and that would , out of necessity require some effort to NOYIFY everyone of the need to attend this “SPECIAL” meeting. So what has UCO done to comply when the only effort to notify of this critical meeting was the Corresponding Secretary calling to inform Officers and Executive Board Members! What effort, if any, was made to get the word out of this important development for the Delegates? Can we therefore expect that the decision of the Executive Board will stand, again, because of their failure to get the delegates out to vote?

We desperately need professional management!

That’s my view, what’s yours

Interesting. For someone who was calling for an end to this, you now want to wait. Let the delegates meet and decide, Do you really think we need more time??

How are all the delegates being contacted ? I was at the pool today and no one knew anything about the Meeting or the vote. Mike

Since this is a regularlly scheduled delegate meeting, all delegates should be in attendance.

All delegates SHOULD be at ALL the delegate meetings.

The pools are always a great place to get no or bad information.

Anonymous, I would have asked you but you hide behind your name ,

Why is it that delegates
have to vote on something
that they were not given
notice beforehand so their
association could have a
meeting and decide on a
decision. Do you honestly
feel that a delegate should
vote on a decision before
presenting it to its
Association?

Mike said...

Unit owners of each association should be contacted to get a concensus of opinion and instruct the dekegate how to vote.

To Nutmegger-

YEP

This is what delegates are supposed to do. With the job of being a delegate comes responsibility and having to make decisions.

The officers have to make decisions, the executive board has to make decisions and the delegates have to make decisions.

When is the Delegate Mtg Agenda made available to delegates?
When delegates, such as ours, are in poor health there is a difference in attendance between a meeting with voting and one with none. If you have no questions why not skip the mtg and read up on it in the UCO Reporter later!

What emergency! there is no official notice on the CV website. Maybe this will be another skid thru no quorum deal.

Who is anonymous?
About a month ago the Blog Administrator created a new way to get people to participate on this blog.He created "anonymous". Since then there have been many comments under that heading. However some of the other participants seem to be unhappy with this new way for people to comment without getting a google account.

Perhaps some people think that anonymous is only one person.

Therefore should the ability to comment under anonymous be eliminated? My answer would be no as it is doing what Dave had envisioned-GOT MORE PARTICIPATION and comments.

Larry, I have been thinking the same thing. There have been so much comments on our blog and it is great. So many people are writing in terrific information and opinions, yet they all write in as "anonymous". It seems to me that people need to speak up like they are doing and sign their true name. As wonderful as all the comments are, they don't carry quite the weight as they would if there was a true name signed on the bottom. I do realize people are afraid. I completely understand those feeling. I feel that way too. It is hard to expose your true self to the public, the true feelings in your heart. It can be very difficult to survive in a community when you go against the popular opinion. Chris

Chris,

I am not sure if some giving their REAL name is more important that the information provided. As Dave stated you can get an e mail address that is disguised. Some people are afraid to get up and speak at a public meeting our group. This Blog is no different.
In my humble opinion-participation no matter in what form is the important thing.
