George Lowenstein, at the Monday Executive Committee meeting, said that I had gone to Mark Levy to be instructed on how to answer questions at my deposition. George Lowenstein is an unmitigated LIAR. He knows the truth and so does Phyllis Richland and Denise Bleu. Mark Levy called me to ask if I could explain some of the construction problems to his expert witnesses. I went twice, once with Pete Scaffidi and once alone. They asked ME questions and never once did anyone try to influence MY TESTIMONY. I do not lie and I went in to finally air the TRUTH in this case. For two years, I have heard only lies concerning this case, have seen the most ridiculous actions and the most absurb amounts of money being held as truth. I am tired of being maligned by this administration and from now on I will be verbal and let the Village know just how bad they have been duped by these people. When I went to Mark's office, I began with, "I am here because I want the truth to be told". I tell you reading this that I only want the truth to finally come out of all of this. By the way, the attorney that was supposed to represent me, Denise Bleu never called me before my deposition and treated me as a hostile witness. On the second deposition, I realized that they are going to try to blame me for their failure to win this case. If you want to blame someone, try the name George Loewenstein. None of this mess should ever have happened. You will hear more from me soon with the TRUTH.

Maybe I'm crazy but why bother to help Levy with anything. Isn't he in arbitration against the CVers. I have nothing but respect for Levy as a good businessman but I sure wouldn't help his side in a case against the Village
That is one powerful statement. I certainly will be following this.
Chris
I understand that each side provided a list of people they wanted deposed and each party submitted a list of people that they would depose. It appears that they name of Jean Dowling was on the WPRF list. Would one not assume that the attorney for UCO would consider the WPRF people "hostile".
Jean D was deposed by UCO and treated by them as a hostile witness. She has been treated so poorly by this village, she has been blamed for everything and it has all been a lie. As she said in her post, she just wanted the truth to come out. She worked as hard as a person can work to restore the clubhouse, all at the direction of the operations committee of which George was a member. Its time people started thanking her for her hard work instead of blaming her for things she did not do. It looks like we have spent a million dollars to find out that the previous admin was right all along.
Jean could you give some background for the newbies on the blog and those of us who were not in on past procedures.
e.g.Your VP years and the scope of your tasks repairing the clubhouse. You must have put in a lifetime or two on that. Note that the active people I chat with around the village are not taken in by George. TIA
Hi All,
I worked with Jean on some other issues during the months she spent working out of a Trailer co-located with the Clubhouse, which was under heavy reconstruction.
Jean put in literally thousands of hours turning the Clubhouse into the Palace it is today; there should be a plaque in the lobby extolling her effort.
Jean's treatment by the current Administration has been a travesty of criminal abandonment and blame shifting. They should be ashamed of themselves to the very core.
Three cheers for Jean, think Jean every time you are in the Clubhouse.
Thanks Jean!
Dave
Thank you Jean for all you did.
Thank you for your kind words and support. It seems that, at last, the dispute over money is over. Now, if all of the nastiness could be over, it would be great. To give Elaine a brief answer... I was given the task after the two hurricanes to coordinate the reconstruction of the clubhouse for UCO. At that time, UCO and Mark Levy worked as a team to do the best job for the residents. We had already started plans for updating the clubhouse so the storms were our opportunity to renovate and improve the usage of the building without assessing the residents. A lot of study was done, especially in the theater, to best use the space and improve the quality of life within. I did a lot of drawings and I did a lot of research and then all of my efforts were either approved or disapproved by the Operations Committee. By the way, both George and Phyllis were members of this committee. All monies were also approved by them. I also oversaw the construction and I did many other tasks that needed to be done including cleaning out and organizing the pods that held the contents of the building. George, when he ran for election, had to discredit me in order to beat me and the Marshall team so that's when the villification started. After that, the "past administration took the blame for everything". That's also when George chose up sides with Mark Levy, who also is not a villian. We disagreed on the money issues, but that did not make him an enemy but someone we needed to work out a problem with. This thing should have been settled a long time ago in a friendly manner without all of the money spent for courts, lawyers, depositions and crazeiness. I hope this is the end of all of this mess we have been involved in. I have begun to believe that the community sport in CV is fighting.
Jean, you seem like a terrific lady with much integrity. Thank you from many of us I am sure!
Chris
