The Obnoxious Anonymous

I see annoying Anonymous is bugging some bloggers. ‘He’ is trying to discourage you from posting, he cannot stand interesting energetic bloggers. It really does not matter what negative comments he makes, they are meaningless, embittered, and illogical. The subtext of the comments is to discourage you from posting. My answer to that is posting triple ;-0

How many idea-crushing, discouraging words can you find from Anonymous on the Blog?
*Nasty criticism - not constructive in any way.
*If that is the biggest problem you have, you have no problems - that is to make any following commenter feel unimportant.
*Doom - It cannot be done, no way.
*Gloom – Everyone feels differently, they will complain, it is useless to try.
*Status Quo – Everything is fine as is, old way UCO is perfect.
*Introducing something distracting and completely off thread, like lets have a poll’.

*** So, ignore Anonymous if not constructive.

This blog could be such a great asset to the community for sharing ideas, good information, and just enjoying each other from the comfort of our homes. I wish people would take advantage of the good rather than the negative.

The assumption that anonymous is only one person is interesting. In fact it may be many people. In any case anonymous seems to have the ability to rile some of the bloggers easily.

From the Blog beginning -Using the Blog
You the user will decide how. Other than a bit of common courtesy and civility to one another there are no limitations here as to usage. A Chat format is fine, also questions of fact are encouraged. Anyone with information of interest is welcome to jump on board. It's your BLOG to use as you see fit. Dave
So bloggers do as you please but do not be discouraged.

Some bloggers like a little adrenaline with nasty Anonymous.
One of my favorite sayings - Never wrestle with a pig in the mud. The pig will have a grand old time, but after awhile no one can tell the difference between you and the pig. You both look the same.

Would you prefer that anonymous postings be eliminated and only "named" postings be allowed?

Certainly not, see 'Using the Blog
' 2 comments back. No one is banned, even if they only snipe or complain, about complaining, about complaining, ad nauseum.
I just didn't like other bloggers to be discouraged.
Sometimes I am anonymous when I am in a hurry or when I am tired of the iguana eye logo, I think I have to change that.

Yes, what is it with that "iguana eye" logo. I agree you need to change it. I liked your flowers better.

elanieb, are you the anonymous?

Topper said...

no definitly not, Elaine is not the "anon y mous" you speak of. She works too hard to keep the blog healthy and strong.

To be or not to be. That is the question Chris. Elaineb said that she was an anonymous. You say not. One cannot be and not be at the same time.
