Hi All,
Not even close; this anlog kluge of POTS (Plain Old Telephone Systems) which at the time was operated by thousands of human Operators who completed the actual legacy copper connections, would bear no resemblance whatsoever to the modern Electronic systems that drive the INTERNET.
