THE BLOGMEISTER RETURNS

Hi All,
Here I am from Morse Geriatric.
Both hip joints replaced and Rehab- in full swing.

I am very glad to see that this BLOG continues to catch on and that there is ever expanding usage for important issues of the day.

I hope to return to the Village as soon as possible and encourage you all to continue to expand the BLOG reach; help your neighbor to log on and use the system.

Continue to air matters of interest as regards Condo Law, Village Operations and thus shed the bright light of the Sunshine Laws on all matters of concern to the Unit Owners; despite the efforts of the Old Failed Leadership and it's sinking ship, to exclude us all from those matters of legitimate concern;

Closed Meetings!!!
The Sunshine Laws "Do not Apply" !!!
Legal fiasco!!!
Resigned long serving Senior Vice President!!!

The Onion is disintegrating as it was pre-destinate to do; soon the light of day will reign effulgent and remnants of the "Era of Bad Judgment" will be washed away.

Hi David:

It's wonderful to hear the

I know of NO UCO administration since time began that WAS NOT accused of BAD JUDGMENT some where along the way and will guess that the next administration NO MATTER who it might be will be accused of the same thing. So if you are planning to be part of the next administration get ready.

That's the way things are done here. Lambaste the present administration. The present administration blames the last administration for all its failures, and the last administration blames the one before them, etc. going all the way back to the founding of UCO and before.

Along with all this is to blame everything not blamed on UCO on the other culprit, WPRF, Cenville,
et al.

Perhaps we should look to ourselves if we are looking for someone to blame. Are we part of the problem or the solution? Are we trying to make things work right? Or do we just like to complain?

David, looking forward to reading your informative posts again very soon. LB

UCO all along has had the same attorney. Could that be the problem ?

Anonymous said...

Oops I forgot to include the UCO attorney as another one to blame.

Anonymous said...

How about putting all of these on the blame list?

All the present and former officers of UCO

All he present and past members of the Executive Board.

All present and former delegates.

All present and past committe chairs and members.

All the present and past residents who do not care about how things are run.

The blame list is endless. Got any more to blame?

Anonymous--Blame list

There may well be some fault to be found, especially as a Monday morning quarterback but could you please list
just what you would blame each entity for?

I'm rather certain that each "blamee" might do something differently with todays information.

Let's hear from you. Please be more definitive.

Bob, You are the perfect example of
"blame the last guy" for everything.

You are correct that there is a lot of blame to go around and we ALL share some of it. The big question is. Where do we go from here and how do we make things better? Is open meetings the cure all for all of UCO'S Problems? Some people seem to feel that if the meetings were open there would be no more problems in the village.

Put this blog on the list of things to blame.

Very interesting, Anonymouse, blaming all the volunteers in the past, present and future, who are putting their hearts and souls by trying to improve our village. Today's Century Village apparently has improved greatly from 20 years ago. Without new blood, the place will stagnate. Just think about Bush W. Are we wrong for feeling that he did the nation wrong? If you feel that he was just in all his decisions, then I can understand why you don't think that new blood is always needed to operate a successful world. Times change. People change. We also must change in our opinions. It is too simple to just blame the past administrations. Think of a hole in a dike. If you don't block the hole, the entire wall will tumble. That's my opinion. Try to be nice; blaming others for things that go wrong is negative. Be positive.

Glad you are doing better. I think that people have to remember that the vast majority of posts are opinions not necessarily facts. There are 3 sides to a story-yours, theirs and the truth. So before we start putting blame on others or demeaning others, let us research throughly for the truth and present all sides. As Flynn said-lets be positive

This matter was started by the blogmeister lambasting the present administration.

I wonder just how many people would have had the same opinion of our citizen’s complaints about England during this country’s quest for an independent form of life.

They all blamed others:
1. For tolerating like blind sheep.
2. For never being satisfied in this new land
3. For inciting rebellion
4. For being constantly negative.
5. For treason against the Crown.

If our forefathers hadn’t spoken out, history would never have recorded the story of the greatest country on earth. We would not be the most powerful and respected Country on earth, sharing with others very much less fortunate than us. Can we improve, yes we can. The cost of improving is to discuss issues as we do on this BLOG.

One of the problems, of those who complain of our freedom to discuss issues concerning this Village, must be they are pessimists. That is: the glass is ‘half-empty’. I believe their views are distorted by the perception that if I complain, I might wind-up becoming involved, so…it’s ok to permit most anything, just to avoid becoming involved. My view remains if you have a problem with motives that are not self-serving or EGO driven, then you haven’t seen the broader picture of the true intent to raise the ‘bar” allowing for greater participation by your peers.

Many veterans remain quiet on this BLOG; but we did serve our country for this very fundamental issue. It is that important!

I applaud all who take time to offer comments on this BLOG and hope others will share their time and talent and join us.

Lets reflect on the strengths of our Country as we approach our Independence Day, July 4th, 2008.

Let us remain vigil in supporting our Village. We may speak-out, but must become involved. I, and MANY others, will always remain available to assist anyone that asks for help, as we all should. It is quite rewarding. Give it a try!

Anonymous, to your point about blaming previous administrations.

In fact, we tried to give credit where is is/was due.

The palm plantings along Haverhill were completed during our administration but was started during Kurt's time and followed up by Vivian and credit was given.

Perhaps you can site a couple of examples and we can discuss them.

Bob,

The point that I have been trying to make is there is NO administration past or present that did not make some mistakes. There was NO administration past or present that did not try to do what they thought was best for the village. There will be NO future administration no matter how good they are that will be able to please all the residents all the time.

Perhaps we should blame the previous residents that did not vote to purchase the recreation facilities some years ago.

AS long as the "in power" administration blames the last administration for many of its failings and maybe some of them are as result of past actions, we are going to have a divided village.

Good or bad certain arrangements were made relative to how things are done in the village. We need to learn how to live with them as most cannot be changed. In the years that I have lived here I have not see ONE administration that everybody liked. I did not see any administration that was perfect. What I did see was lots of administrations trying to do what they thought was best for the village.I never met a lousy officer of UCO. I did meet some who knew more than others and some were better at the job than others but all tried to do their best.

Unfortunately doing your bet is usually not good enough here.

What would I like to see? No more bashing of the present administration. No more bashing of the Marshall,Walsh or Weiss administrations.

I would like to see this blog less critical of the present administration and more active on how to make things better. Many of the people who post here have good ideas but do not want to do the work necessary to get their ideas become policy.

However it appears that they way to win elections is to blast the opponent for everything.

Your theory that every present administration will always put the blame on the past administration by the next new administration. You seem to claim that the proper way to present your dissatisfaction has to be by criticizing the previous administration. I think a suggestion to the present administration from anyone should be examined and then either take it or leave it. From who the opinion came from should not be of importance. That's my opinion, it doesn't have to be yours.
