Crisper's, a restaurant in a mall across the street from Sonny's restaurant on Okeechobee Boulevard. Clean, lots of tables and chairs. You go to the counter, place your order, sit down and a young girl will deliver it to you. The selection is great and large. The prices are reasonable. It is managed by a man named Bob Tanner. If some of you can remember, he had a restaurant named Randy's in one of the malls near us. It's approximately a seven to eight minute drive west on Okeechobee and the turnpike. They have eight different kinds of soup, many salads, many meat sandwiches, flatbreads, also a variety of drinks, coffees, teas, sodas. They also have a good selection of cakes and cookies for dessert. They may have more, but I was not interested in looking for more. No one rushes you. You can ask for Bob Tanner, the former owner of Randy's in one of the malls on Village Boulevard. Elaine, take a ride. I think you'll enjoy it. The best thing is you don't have to worry about the parmesan. They don't have any.

Flynn:
Where is Sonny's Restaurant?
Go west on Okee till you pass SR7. In less than 1,000 feet, on the left side of Okee, you will see Sonny's. Make a left turn as soon as you see it. Hope you enjoy it.
Now Crisper's is across Okee from Sonny's into a mall. You will have to ride around into the mall till you see the store called Crisper's.
Crisper's and Sonny's are different kinds of food. Sonny's specializes in ribs, and Crisper's specializes in soups and sandwiches, something like Panera's, but other dishes and desserts also. No salad bar.
PS: Nutmegger, I'm happy we're speaking again. I missed you.
Crisper's (Publix connected) is trying to serve everyone’s favorite dishes, lots of tasty words on the menu, they may get me once or twice but I prefer Moe’s Southwest Grill (Commons). No young girl bringing their version of what I ordered. At Moe’s you stay at the line directing the assembly of your dish, I have a good relationship with a huge dude who knows how to smother my food in guacamole ;-))
Moe’s is hip, quality and fresh in Southwest food. Their website doesn’t do them justice.
This is located at the end of
the Target Shopping Center..
North side of 0kee, slightly beyond SR7....It has been there
a while, however, I thought
Panerra's to be somewhat better
larger variety, although they no
longer serve you, at your table.
(located in the Publix Village
way shopping center, east of
John Bull's, another nice eatery!

If I travel west pass SR7
I definitely will go pass
Sonny's to Cappuccino's
because there is no comparison. I have been to
Sonny's once and that is
enough for me. Actually
my favorite restaurant is
Ruth Chris Steakhouse.
I didn't mean that Crisper's is the answer to everyone's taste. It is just another nice place to eat with a different style of cooking. Just like Sonny's and Cappuccino's are very different. Both nice. My favorite steakhouse, the one I discovered 15 years ago, is the Raindancer.
Sorry Flynn:
Absolutely absolutely NO
is the RainDancer a better
SteakHouse than Ruth Chris.
Been to RainDancer once
and never again. Give me
Ruth Chris SteakHouse.
FLynn many thanks for your suggestions, keep them coming, I did not intend to be critical. I have to promote new Moe's Southwest Grill (Commons) because I was crushed when the other one (Wellington) went out of business.
We don't go to restaurants. We prepare & eat our own ethnic dinners. We can eat as little or as much as we want & it is always of superb quality. You might say cooking is my husband's form of relaxation or a way to express his artistry!
