Hi All,
After the closing of the Delegate Assembly; Vice President Howie Silver approached me in front of the Clubhouse and stated as follows:
"You can run Channel 63 yourself, WE resign"!!
I took this to mean Howie Silver and President George Loewenstein!!
This latter confirmed by a Phonecall from Ed Black stating that George resigned from the stage, saying he could not work under the "restrictions of the Open Meetings Resolution" which passed by overwhelming vote of the Delegates.
The rotten onion has as predicted fallen apart completely; now let's get on with the real business of the Village.

OFFICERS
C. Any vacancy of an elected office occurring before the expiration of a term shall be filled by the President on an emergency basis. In the event that the vacancy is in the Office of President, such vacancy shall be filled by a majority of the remaining Officers’ Committee Members. The filling of any vacancy in office must be approved at the next meeting of the Delegate Assembly at which a quorum is present. In the alternative, an election by the Delegate Assembly shall be held to fill the vacancy. Such officer shall serve for the un-expired term of the seat being filled.
I hear some damn fool meeting interfered with my constitutional right to vegetate in front of the TV. But it worked out real well. Don't hold back the volunteers.
I would love a summer where I do not have to worry about George L manipulating no-quorum Delegate Mtgs to pursue his power plays: eliminating term limits, closing meetings, causing law suits with paranoid anger, deferring maintenance to ‘save’ dollars, etc.

After the revelations of Friday’s meeting, more and more people are talking about how they originally supported George L but he slapped them down, was rudely autocratic, etc. Many good people willing and able to volunteer and bring new blood were wasted. Before no-one wanted to admit they were not good enuf for UCO. George L did that all by himself.
I wonder when Howie Silver will figure out he was used and hung out to dry.
