Hi All,
The lack of respect for the Unit Owners of CV goes on unabated in the actions of Treasurer Dorothy Tetro..
First it is important to understand that UCO VP Frank Cornish in the full spirit of the Open Meetings Resolution has called a meeting of the Officers Committee. The meeting will be in the Clubhouse on Wednesday July 16, 2008 at 10:00 AM. This meeting will be properly noticed on Monday the 14th. The essence of the Agenda will be appointment of replacements for the resigned President and the resigned Vice Presidents. This will be a meeting open to CV Unit owners, thanks Frank.
Ms Tetro, a solid Loewenstein sycophant, in direct violation of the Open Meetings Resolution, and in utter contempt of the rights of the Unit Owners is attempting to stack the deck. She has called a meeting of the Officers, said meeting to be on Monday at UCO at 9:30am in order to preselect other Loewenstein supporters to fill the vacant slots. This meeting is to be unannounced to the Unit Ownership, in short, without proper notice. If you can't obey our Bylaws; resign!!!
Madam Treasurer and other Officers; wake up, this is exactly what the conflict was about at the Delegate Assembly meeting of July 11th, 2008.
your Monday meeting is flat illegal and you are warned against holding it.
Wait until wednesday and do it legally.
All of you BLOGGERS, be at UCO, Monday at 9:30 am and remind the Officers of their duty.

This latest revelation makes me think we need an audit. NOW
And an emergency delegate meeting should be called for.
Anonymous:
Such an Special DA meeting in the near future may in fact become necessary.
Any and all appointments to temporarily fill vacancies in the office of President and the office(s)of VP must be ratified by the DA.
A comprehensive legal opinion is presently being sought in order to properly proceed.
Hi Dave,
This is not related to the thread, but I just wanted to say welcome back. It sounds like you are back to your old (or should I say "new") self. Good to see your posts.
chris
Keeping up with this kind of craftiness is exhausting business indeed, but somebody’s got to do it. Thanks Dave and Randall.
Delegate Assembly = Board Of Directors
If you hear loud know-nothings still proclaiming after Friday’s vote that residents should be shut out. Tell them to try to grasp UCO Articles of Incorporation May 7, 1982
“Article VI Board of Directors
A. The affairs of UCO shall be managed by an Assembly of Delegates which shall constitute the Board Of Directors, as that term is used in Florida Statutory Corporation Law”.
Anon, I agree with you. That Randall sure knows his stuff. Wow! Lots of wows on this website.
Why is none of the posts that people are puting here on this web site, are not going on the Century Village web q&a?
To Anon 9:32
It is up to the person making the post to decide where they want them to go.

The posts would probably not be allowed on the CV Q&A. or they would be deleted. Mike
To Mike
I have not had a problem posting on the Q & A.
Ok, Larry , I gather you are saying it's an open forum where people can post what's on their mind even if it's not favorable to UCO & George L.
Mike
I suggest that everybody take a deep breath, sit back and wait until the new officers of UCO address the matter. It is not the most important problem that has to be looked at right now as there are many others.
Hi Larry,
The right to speak your mind and air your opinion is a fundamental American right.
When the Ultimate Arbiter of "what we can say", "Who we can criticize",
"What subjects we can raise", is removed from the CV Q & A, this will mark a major victory for Democracy in Century Village.
At that time we can seriously discuss the need for the continuation of this BLOG.
Until these events have transpired, no thoughtful person should give credibility to the CV Q & A by Posting in it.

DEMOCRACY
Democracy needs participation. When each unit owner gets to vote in the UCO elections, and begins to feel the responsibility that goes with that vote,we will have much better representation and we will truly have a democracy.
In the 9 years I have lived in Century Village, I haven't seen democracy; but I am told it did exist at one time.
Ah yes, I remember it well. Actually I don’t exactly, but in the late 1990s there were welcome workshops and board member workshops in the village, they must have taken a lot of work to organize but villagers felt welcome, and educated and prepared to be useful and helpful in the village, the spirit and energy was different then.
There was a welcome workshop a few months ago and it was NOT very well attended. The one last year had the same problem.
ouch, did I say we needed a Communication Cmte. There are people in CV who ask 'what is UCO. Who is Loewenstein?' I even met one working lady who did not realize there was a clubhouse.
