From what I read on the forum it appears with a degree of certainty that the blog is going to be eliminated in the near future. Should that be the case, I once again say thank you to David Israel for starting it in the first place. Over a rather short period of time it has proven that when truthful information is given to the public, the people respond in kind.
Change is not easy; oftentimes it is easier to return to the familiar, where we anticipate that it will be different, but it never is.

Hi Rosa,
This is a real issue, and I hope to involve the Delegate Assembly in the final decision.
It is my hope that the CV Q & A will be liberalised to allow a broad range of opinion and interaction between UCO and the Unit Owners.
If this happens; I have committed in open Delegate Assembly to taking down th BLOG. It is a big if and I do not know how the Officers will react to such liberalisation and interaction.
One of the guidelines issued under Carole particularly irked me; "do not ask questions about UCO as they have no obligation to read or answer questions here".
I utterly disagree; I feel that UCO has an absolute responsibility to answer Unit Owner question in any valid forum and certainly the CV Q & A is an Official CV Forum.
I consider this BLOG "Your" Communications Channel, as such it's fate is in your hands.
Insist on an open CV Q & A.

What is the rush! There is a lot of difference between Rosa’s assumption ‘near future’ and Dave’s ‘ultimately’. Let’s wait and see if UCO matches their words with actions to really mean it when they say –
* They are really transparent, includes budget.
** They really want new ideas. That includes changing Q&A.
*** They really want proactive volunteers.
We have not even had a regular Delegate Meeting, 3 cmtes currently do not have chairpersons (I think). We just found out recently that at least 2 UCO committees were one-man operations. UCO has far to go.
UCO is proud to have a VP ready to answer questions at all times. Questions could be printed out from Q&A and Blog, then given to VP. Is there anyone other than Ken Davis at UCO who could enable this? UCO reception could be given a list of FAQs derived from online. Everyone will be smarter and better informed.
I hope this Blog STAYS until we see how the new UCO works out. Dave et al. have been a life line.
More not less should be the guide line for this blog and the CV forum. The more outlets that people have to communicate their concerns makes it easier for those who have the answers to help resolve their issues. The only reservations I have is that some "experts" my provide mis-information.
Dave wrote on Q&A:
With a less restrictive set of rules in the offing I believe dual posting is an appropriate way to transition from the BLOG back to this Official CV channel.
Ultimately; it would be likely that the BLOG would go away.
You will note that some of the comments are by A Nony Mouse posters, it is very unlikely that such unattributed entries will be permitted on the CV Q & A, this is a decision ultimately for Ken Davis, the Officers of UCO and the Delegate Assembly.
Your ideas are urgently solicited.
Dave Israel
Why not see if it would be a possibility to make this blog the offical web sit for cv. It surely is a better site :o)
DAVE: Please, If you consider this blog as "our" communication - KEEP IT
You cannot ask the Dlegates about the blog for several years. Lowenstein’s smear of the previous administration still sticks after 3 years, His blasts against the blog have convinced the delegates of the same thing. They have not seen the blog.
Let's try to remain open to the changes that we have witnessed so far, and allow for more harmony to solidify the honeymoon period.
I believe, as do others, that the Team is reaching out to include more volunteers and that is a truly great beginning.
Please allow for some time to see if WE ALL can make this improving outlook for UCO, work.

Looks like the censorship advocates will be defeated in the pole. This is a good day. Right On!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, Anon 5:52pm, many enlightened and engaged delegates DO read this blog--not the ones that leave CV for months on end with no one watching their associations business.
Why get rid of this blog when it works so well for a wish and a promise that in the past has not worked. This works!!!!!

If the blog does go, I suggest a UCO Reporter blog in its place. Yes, Reporter material has a place on the CV site, but who reads it? A Reporter blog would be more stimulating, and inspire real-time input. We would not have to wait once a month for our leaders' addresses.
I find your blog interesting, and useful. I'd like to see it grow more and not disintegrate with time. The idea of using your paper for a blog is unnecessary. Just keep using your blog and it will grow. Trust me, I know more than you think. My actions are for attention. Love you. Paris of Bayonne
