Acceptable Mail, for UCO Reporter - Mail Bag Column

Prior to closing this afternoon's Exec. Bd. Meeting, Pres. Loewenstein,
announced that the Mail Bag Column, would no longer accept or print
inflamatory ( my words) letters, after several were aired, in last month's
edition, including his own, by his own admission.
---
Unfortunately, others and I, no longer have the opportunity to respond
to criticsm's that appeared in that column, particularly the ones
that attempted to vilify, Frank Cornish, for his October's column,
in which he took to task, the action taken at the August Operations
Committee meeting, that eliminated Tuesday night's Karaoke, only
to re-instate it, in September, following his presentation of a Petition
gathered by several residents.
---
I believe all three individuals, Jerry Karpf, Claudette LaBonte and
Avis Blank, had better take a LONG HARD LOOK, at their actions.
as well as the Agenda's of both Karpf and LaBonte, self serving?
Next President & VP of UCO????????

i guess we will just have to buy space in the reporter if we want our words heard by the public in the village. how interesting that the one time i write a letter to the editor the president refuses to allow the printing of opinions conrary to his or other officers. welcome to 1984 and big brother. what good is the reporter if one cannot voice an opinion in it? does censorship ring true to anyone? how dare they , those that sit in a small room and make the decisions as to what gets printed or not.i was once one of those and thus one of the reasons for my resignation. god help us all if this continues.

Why the ban? That’s easy, the UCO Reporter must have received a mailbag of letters from residents who are shocked at the unprofessional and vicious attacks by UCO heads against capable members who are actually making progress and listening to the residents.
Many submittals are not printed in the UCO Reporter anything that threatens the fumbleydumbley old school is nuked. “It doesn’t meet the editors purpose”.

Add to the total control of the UCO Reporter, the refusal to hear relevant and pertinent info in meetings until AFTER decisions are made, see 10/31 no-contributions-per Queen Tetro. Scary for the Village. We are ruled by people with their hands over their eyes and ears.

Doh! Did you see the post at the neighboring church “Anger is the weak man’s aggression”. How weak is UCO! Make that “Anger and unreasoning control is the weak man’s agresssion”

I thought the UCO Reporter was an independent entity and not part of the UCO administration. Can you imagine if all the newspapers in the country were controlled by the 'in president' of the time. I would hope that some brave soul at the meeting bring up that UCO president should not butt his nose into how the paper is being run and should stick to his own mandate. This is very serious and something has to be done to prevent free speech. Yes, even George's dribble had to be printed so we could all see what kind of human he really is. That is what free speech is about. That is why we have the blog. That is why we have fought in wars for freedom and freedom of speech. We can't let UCO rob us of that. God only knows why George was allowed to run again after he had resigned. We need him like a hole in the head.
