Open letter to all

I must admit I was also disappointed by the personal attacks in the UCO reporter of November.
It did in fact breach the very effort we agreed to make, to attempt harmony in the Village, because we are all “OF” this Community. I would have much preferred those who had complaints to invite those offending them to a ‘sit down’ to discuss (in private) the items offending (in their views).

I now am able to applaud the comments made by President Loewenstein at the executive Board Meeting that effective immediately there will be an end to all such attacks upon anyone as the standard for the Reporter. These welcomed comments came after such a ‘sit down’ between Former President Weiss and Current President Loewenstein.

This can be a critical turning point and deserves our support.

I believe the return to Civility and Harmony is once again be upon us and we need to allow for further demonstration that this “former” problem has completely gone away.

They still need to have their mouths washed out with soap, and apologise.

It's all smoke and mirrors Ed.

The right of every citizen to write about issues is a given. To write about ANYONE, individual, borders on a personal attack.
Criticism of the policies or procedures of any organization is fair commentary.
I would prefer to see articles praising those hard working volunteers that are never given a “well done” in this paper. We even commend the Bus “driver of the month” Security “guard of the month”, but never any one of the extraordinary COP, CERT or UCO workers putting many hours into the jobs they perform to SAVE all of us from an all paid staff.

We have an extraordinary person in our own David Israel. The time he put into developing the required information so our negotiations with two competing contractors would be successful, shows what dedication he puts into any endeavor he pursues. We are fortunate to have such a person working for the Residents of this Community.
Wouldn’t it be nice to see volunteers profiled in the paper, rather than bashing that as has sometimes been our past?

I find it ironic that the chief officers condemn the blog for namecalling and the like, and they use the paper for the same sins.

Newsprint is dead; look at "The Post" firing half of its people, combining its sections, and putting ads on the front pages (on Food Wednesday, an ad takes up half the front). "The Reporter" should be an Internet page updated as soon as the meeting minutes are transcribed.

Pundit? does not take into account that so many people in the Village do not have computers. Even in this day and age, they used them for work and are now not interested. They would have no information.

Those at UCO that claim to have character and integrity need to step forward and start making UCO a legal organization. Then all of UCO won't have to waste their energy on justifying their illegalities and bamboozling the people. As far as the local politician their time will come. Remember , politicians don't care about you, they just care about your vote.

To the well meaning and uninformed innocent UCO volunteers ( excuse me, I meant to say Levy volunteers ) I say thank you

Rational thinking is at a premium at UCO.

Articles by...

George Loewenstein, " Answer to Kurt Weiss' Article in the October UCO Reporter"

Claudette Labonte, current executive Board Memer

Jerry Karp, current VP at UCO

Avis Blank, corresponding secretary of UCO

All of the above published in the November issue of the UCO Reporter what I consider their opinion. All these articles are considered by some as " airing your dirty laundry" and/or etc. etc.

However you want to describe the situation, the deed was done by UCO officials

Now Lowenstein is trying to censor the very people that own the newspaper, instead of chastizing himself and the offending parties.

What kind of thought pattern is that ?

Where is the rationale in that ?

What happened to critical thinking?

I think that some comments have been deleted here. Is this a form of censorship?
