PBIA AIRCRAFT NOISE

Hi All,

Top photo: GOOGLE Earth Satellite image of the North - West end of the long diagonal runway at PBIA. Shown at lower right of image. The straight line distance from the end of the Runway to the CV Clubhouse is circa 11,000 feet.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Below is a map of PBIA showing the Runways, and the Noise Sensors which monitor noise levels (Yellow Circles).

If you contact:
Palm Beach County Department of Airports Noise Abatement and Technical Services Division Palm Beach International Airport, Building 846 West Palm Beach, Florida 33406-1491
Tel: (561) 471-7468
Fax: (561) 471-7427
and tell them the date and time of the noise; PBIA will send you a neat track plot of the aircraft(s) in question in relation to CV. The Heavy Jumbo jets pass over CV at altitudes of as low as 300 feet, or less, thus the incredible noise.

This problem has been controversial here for years; what can be done? Thus far, not much!

PBIA flight and noise monitoring equipment is located just beyond the NW corner of CV. We are an official flight path (did the realtor tell you that when you bought here!)
