Hi Andre, have you been to Northampton lately, geotube work in progress to repair erosion.
I think panorama will enlarge if you click on it.

You've got to be kidding !!!
That ugly stuff all over Century Village?!?!?!?!

I wish UCO had read Andre's proposal. Unless the water covers the rubber tubes, it will look like a Goodyear tire dump along the shores. PS. Goodyear has good tires for cars.

Hi Elaine, thanks for the pictures. I was there last Saturday and pretty discouraged with what I saw. Beside being ugly how long do you think the ropes holding all this together will hold underground with humidity and water?
The Goodyear look will be there whenever the water level is low and the climate expert have dire predictions for the future as you know.
Keep on hitting on the nail, eventually it will bring about results. Andre

That is not the finished look for Northampton, unless we run out of money. It is unfortunate that UCO (250 volunteers) cannot articulate their plans and say why the 2/08 Study is not being followed. There should be installation of more earth, sloping, and sodding at Northampton.

Hi Elaine
Apr 27, 2009 5:13:00 PM,

I would not work to hard on the answer to these questions:

The "plans" are secret at worst and Ad-Hoc at best.

And we are not following the recommended correct technical approach because it is "to expensive"

What's new in any of this.

Again, George Lowenstein has to be OUT of office before any real progress is possible at CV...

Dave, since you are a vice president don't you have access to the 'secret plans'? What happened to the irrigation meetings? It is interesting that we haven't had meetings for a couple of months and now this. The shoreline will be really ugly as most of the year the water line in very low. Whom ever decided this needs their head examined.
