Comcast Hookup

Did anyone who had an appointment this morning to get your
box and remote have the problem that the cable tech told me.
The main cable isn't working so if he put the box on the TV in
my living room I will not view any TV until they fix the problem.
He told me that I have to make another appointment.
Isn't life grand.

They hooked up my box on Tuesday at 12:30. That was after I had been told that they were coming between 8 and 12 noon. Everything worked fine until I realized they had disconnected my DVD player. Went back to the clubhouse the following day and a "trouble shooter came to fix problem.

Everything is working fine. I have the cable box in my bedroom. The TV in the living room still works fine.

My only complaint was that on Saturday I waited an hour and a half. The excuse was that they did not expect so many people on a weekend. But, Wellington was scheduled for Saturday. Very bad organization. Hope they improve for the other sections of CV.

Do you really have to go for the interview if you're not interested in changing your phone company or internet provider? Does the installer leave a box for each set or can you get the tv without a box? Does the installer install anything? Can you get in demand without the box? Anybody have the answers?

It’s a cable tv box that will get you Channel 1 On Demand and extra digital channels. This has nothing to do with phone or internet, (although Comcast has a phone offer). Read Blog Thursday, May 28, 2009 - Cable Box FAQ.
How did you manage to miss all the info on the Blog and in the UCO Reporters, and at meetings??
