INVESTIGATE ALTERNATE CV MANAGEMENTS

CV OperationsGreat suggestion from Bob M, it deserves its own topic:
“I'd suggest the formation of a task force to INVESTIGATE a different process for the administration of the Village.Perhaps this would be somewhat like a Town Manager form of Town management or something entirely different and not considered at this time. What harm could investigation do? In my opinion the current process is covered with warts and is hardly effective.Since this task force has not been considered at this point perhaps it should be developed outside the current administration?I would love to hear some comments, other opinions and any questions.”

Previous CV administrations must have collected many ideas from other Condos and HOAs I would love to know how others manage.
Bensons/Associa does consulting.
I bet Virgil Rizzo has ideas, also the FL Ombudsman coming to CV on 2/15/08.

This is not intended to be disrespectful, just the facts. CV is a special case of exacerbated aging. If you look at city data.com you will see we are the 2nd oldest community in the whole USA average age 77.7 years. We are proud that we live longer but often are losing our edge or some faculties. I think any form of management needs to consider this, not everyone makes a good delegate or president year after year.

There are Community Assoc. Management Cos. all over the country. Some do all Communities and others specialize.

Ok Mike, but is it that easy to find one that can run a pleasant, fun resort for 12,000 people, no bullying, no sh*twork maintenance, or posting more rules than a prison. I wonder how The Villages are run, their advertising is very attractive. Anyone move from there to here?

I think that it is high time that we find an alternative to UCO. I am sure that there are very competent management companies out there and that our cost would not be higher.
