VOTING DELEGATE POLL

We have opened a poll in the sidebar asking if our readers are Delegates in the Delegate Assembly.

Why you may ask;
On Friday, the list of Candidates for UCO Office will be announced at the Delegate Assembly. Candidates may be nominated from the floor, and if supported by 10 seconds will be added to the list of Candidates.

These Candidates will need various channels in which to publicise their qualifications in addition to the UCO Reporter.

We are considering encouraging the Candidates to use this BLOG to air their views and to answer questions that may arise, a format not supported by the UCO Reporter.

Clearly if there is a high percentage of BLOGGERS who are Voting Delegates, this would create an atmosphere conducive to such exchanges. So, please let us know if you are a voting Delegate by voting in our Poll.

Woo Hoo! How great is that.
I want to know how many candidates are computer savvy? Appearing on the blog should automatically show that.
We may not all be delegates but my association discusses these issues and we are having an all-resident meeting on Sunday.

Is there a delegate for every building association?

Hi Chris,
Yes; Every Association has at least one Delegate, and some have more, based on the number of Units being represented. Per the UCO Bylaws, following is the Distribution of Delegates:

"The Delegate Assembly shall consist of 349 Delegates representing 309 Condominium Associations in Century Village as follows:

Associations of 26 Units or less - 1 Delegate(each) Totaling 284

Dover (3 buildings 1 association) 9

Golf's Edge (1 Association) 7

Greenbrier (3 buildings) 6

Oxford 200 (1 Association) 2

Oxford 400 (1 Association) 2

Plymouth (3 Associations) 6

Southampton (3 Associations) 9

Wellington (12 Associations) 24

GRAND TOTAL................349

Hope that is helpful
Dave

Usually the President of an Ass'n is the delegate and then the secondary person is an alternate picked by the Board to vote in the absence of the delegate

This is all very interesting. It's obvious that I have not been paying enough attention to all these issues. But I certainly am going to be now!
