"NONE SCHEDULED"

I went to UCO today to get a list of UCO meeting times and dates, since they are no longer published in the Reporter. I was informed that in the summer no meetings are scheduled so they had zero info for me. I guess ‘none scheduled’ is like the meaning of ‘is’. Committee members are still called for their meetings, but meetings are ‘not scheduled.’ Even if we knew when there was a mtg - they are so battened down with rules it would be worthless.
I was out of town, when did all this closed mystery mtg stuff hit the fan?
(excepting Delegate Meetings)

Hi Elaine,
Closed meetings since the supreme Autocrat decided to rule by Ukase (Russian: Imperial decree with the force of law.)

Just one more example of bad judgement and defiance of the Sunshine Laws; which El-Supremo has decided "Do not apply"

Welcome Back, Elaine
The Open meeting issue came up at the last meeting of the Delegate Assembly.

This Administration has continued to claim “TRANSPARENCY” while they issued this edict to effectively cease a practice that has been in effect since the Amendment passed with effectively unanimous support in 2003.

Basically, they reevaluated the “intent” of the Amendment without offering the required Amendment to our By-laws, thereby permitting 2/3rds of Seated Delegates to approve such change.

This seems to ferret out the concept of all in this Administration do support the President’s views as if he were KING GEORGE! The Executive Board did not vote against this change, or require the change be placed before the “Board of Directors”, (Delegate Assembly.) I believe this compels major changes upon us for the upcoming Elections in March 2009.
Why does he believe he may change the established interpretation of the UCO “openness” issue, for which he campaigned? This has been a “self ratifying precedent” that he now believes he may dissolve at will.

It would seem the “mandate” he declared after his reelection has truly gone to his head and now more than ever, CHANGE IS NEEDED.

It is time for Professional Management, so when the very limited staff, hired to serve this great community pulls such explicitly poor judgment into the public view, they may be terminated.

Thank you George for another demonstration of the “closed door policy” of your Administration.

There are some committees that do not have regular scheduled meetings in some summer months. However there are other committees that meet every month and their meeting dates appear on channel 63.

It appears that whomever you talked to at UCO was wrong. I suggest you go back to UCO and inquire about:
Maintenance
Transportation
Infrastructure
Executive Board
Delegate Assembly
Irrigation
Security
Operations
Officers

The same Ed. Don't you have anything better to do than to bash George. We are all not so naieve as to know that you have a private agenda and what you say is extremely colored and biased. As for Dave, as Supreme autocart of this blog, why are you still part of the executive board if you disagree with everything this administration does. Stand up for what you believe in and resign.

Dear uconymous 11:19, I spoke with Mary Patrick in person who told me “No meetings are scheduled” after protracted discussions with George L himself.
Apparently they were wrong in that there is still some info on channel 64, I wonder how long that will stay there. As you will see there are obvious errors, you are on your own to figure out exact time and place.

Per 64:
Executive Bd June 30, 1pm
Editorial July 11, 1 pm
Maintenance Tues July 8 10am Rm C
Beautificationma! Wed July 8! 11 am huh!
Infrastructure July 8, 9:30am

Seems odd that some mtgs overlap Maintenance which is useful to all.

I hope Dave will soon ride into meetings in his 'Supreme autocart' (anon 4:18) don’t let them shut you out, or we will all be mushrooms. Anyone else who can go to meetings, stick with it, never resign.

Due to the number of committees and the present need to have all committee, officers, executive board , delegate assembly and any other town meeting or workshops at the clubhouse there are going to be conflicts at times. Perhaps when the new UCO office becomes available the situation will improve.
