CV SOS for folks up north

The village is in trouble, being manipulated by 2 officers who resigned and now are running for office again, having caused turmoil.
Phone a friend in the village ask them to watch Channel 63 at 9am or 6pm to see the Delegate Mtg on 7/11/08. They will see former Prez Loewenstein and VP Howie Silver, + Shapkin, Karpf, and Lipofsky absolutely against open meetings, they are disrespectful and bully the residents. They have total control of the UCO Reporter which only gives ‘their version’ of the meeting, so friends should watch 63. It is slow at first – Howie’s delaying tactic, but hang in there.

Ask your friend for the details. MAKE YOUR OWN DECISIONS AND
LET YOUR REPRESENTATIVE KNOW HOW TO VOTE NEXT FRIDAY

Please circulate this by email or bestway, spread the word

Anyone bur Geroge and Howie - yee Gods!

I will never understand how a great many people in the delegate assembly, can force 2 officers to resign their posts and then stand up for them for re-election. Of course I cannot understand those 2 officers having the nerve to run again after having resigned their positions.

First of all, the officers were not forced to quit. They quit in a snit because they lost a delegate vote on the sunshine clause of our by-laws. They wanted closed meetings and the delegates wanted to insure democracy by passing the motion to insure open meetings.

To Beat Geo. & Howie the proclaimed candidates must get together and support 1 Pres & 2 VPs. You saw all Geo's black jacketed nominating minions, does't take a genius to figure out good old Geo's game . He can be beat , go after all the non Orthodox and non jewish vote. You can do .

To Bill clinton: You post borders on antisemitism and it will not be tolerated. It has nothing to with Jews and I am disgusted that the ones who are running this blog will allow this. SHAME ON YOU!!

Anti Semitism!!!!!!!! Give me a break, it's called politics moron and don't don't try to make it anything else. You make me sick.

Anonymous said...

If you don't like the J word, lets say, there is a huge religious factor in the George system.

Anonymous said...

To Bill Clinton-Its antisemtic moron. Plan and simple. Why do you need to bring in the religion issue? Seems the Nazis used the same line that the Jews were Germany's misfortune. I lost too many relatives to let your comments pass. Keep religion out of this and ereferences to Jews. Unlike we won't tolerate your demeaning comments. I would ask that the candidates running for office distance themselves from posts such as yours.

Religous issues have always played a part in politics as with someones ethnicity. Different races and religions make pacts to elect someone they feel will be best for them, it's the American way. If calling someone anti semetic makes you feel good , be my guest.

HELLO people

The three persons running for the predidency of UCO ,as far as I know, are all of the Jewish faith.

Personally, David Israel is my choice for president.

I prefer him because he is concerned, helpful, kind, active,
educated, but most of all, very very smart.

It will take all his qualities to put this village on the right course. So please put some thought into your posting, but most of all put some thought into your vote.

You are right. therefore race and religion should not be a factor, only the issues and who is the best candidate/person to lead UCO and CV. When all is said and done it is time to come together and stand behind whomever the winners are. Enough of this petty, childish nonsense. For a senior citizens community some of us may have retrogressed back to their pre-school days. Time for some healing and friendship

Got to Friday's meeting late and was stunned to learn that George Lowenstein was nominated and accepted to run again. He resigned because he lost a vote he tried to keep from happening. He did not want to work within the guide lines of the by laws. Has he changed his mind? I think not. I think his arragance has no boundaries. He believes he is always right. He knew he would lose the vote and tried to have it not happen. Wake up folks. He resigned in a snit, let his resignation stay. Vote for change, open your eyes.

My vote would be for Phyllis Richland. She is a PROVEN ENTITY on the slate of candidates. What is said about Dave Israel is also true about Phyllis but she is proven. I don't know what Dave has done except this blog. No, we did not get the bios that we were assured we would get at the Friday meeting. Time is running out. Vote for PHYLLIS, proven in every way.

Remember....Phyllis was George's "first lady"

Anonymous said...

George will push vote for Phyllis because he wants to siphon off votes from Dave. George feels his base can carry him to victory if the rest of the delegates split between the other two candidates.

anon said "time to come together and stand behind whomever the winners are". Fine! BUT are you going to stand with George when he brings back closing meetings and removing term limits. He will resign everytime he does not get his way.

Moggi-How can he bring back closed meetings when open meeting were overwhelmingly passed at the July 11th Delegates meeting? What term limits are being talked about? I have been away, please explain.

Finally - someone who sees through all the smoke and mirrors

I think it's time for everyone to stop and think what is going on here the problem was not open meetings, it was the 48 hour rule to post a notice when any problem accured which by the way was changed by Randel 2 or 3 days later, allowing Pres. & V.P. to handle problems as they come up.This change should have been in the original amendment. If this was done in the first place, there would not have been any problems with the open meeting
amendment. The real problem is we have a group of people who will not stop at anything to get their way. Their only intrust is to control Century Village, you all know who they are and it's up to every delagate to stop them. Let these people know your feelings it is up to you.

If the $5 million UCO budget was handled by professional management, there wouldn't be so many snakes trying to slither next to the money.

Anonymous said...

To anon 12:40-If the original resolution about open meetings was done properly, which it was not, we would not be in the trouble we are in now. It was not handled properly. People acted to fast without consideting the matter properly.Extending term limits was a suggestion from only one officer and never went anywhere.

As per the UCO reporter, June 2008 Front page article by George Loewenstein:

UCO HAS NO POWER....

The only power UCO has is in your head.

If you need any protection as an unit owner or as an association, it is FS 718.

As of October 1, 2008, even more laws go into effect to protect you . So stop all this nonsense, this mirage of power that's doing nothing but creating turmoil.

George has led the delegates around for 2 ½ years, he waits for no-quorum summer mtgs then his motions are passed by only the executive board. Howie Silver proposed dumping term limits in the UCO Reporter, page 4 June, so George and VPs could stay. The closed meetings were George’s sticking point, don’t you think someone who would resign and rerun, would connive to get his way at every opportunity. Look at the turmoil he and Tetro caused the last 2 weeks, all to facilitate George’s return and control.
Take a good close look at George’s record, he has more tricks than flies on a dead possum, and they are not for the village benefit.

FS 718 has nothing whatsover with UCO. UCO is NOT a Condo Association.

Anonymous said...

Anonymous, confusion is thy name. Please read more carefully, it was not about UCO which has 'no power.'

Anonymous said...

To anonymous 4:01,

For your information, UCO is a service company; no more, no less than the management company that takes care of your grass.

Inform yourself.

If what you say is true, wouldn't every association have a written contract with UCO to provide each of these services? It is a voluntary organization that acts as a Master Association... but without a written contract or Declaration between the parties.

Anonymous said...

You answered your own question. They "ACT" as a master association therefore they have no power.

UCO as a master association would have to be disclosed at the time of purchase of your unit.

Under the existing circumstances, you are forced to participate with UCO, and where is the voluntary?
