Special Meeting of the Delegate Assembly

Nominations to Fill Vacant Offices

Author: Randall Borchardt (---.hsd1.fl.comcast.net)Date: 07-16-08 14:42

Please be advised that UCO has been presented with a petition today with 77 Delegate signatures requesting that a Special Meeting of the Delegate Assembly be held on Friday, July 25th, at 9:30 A.M. in the Auditorium.

Only 35 Delegate signatures were required in order to make this meeting official.

The petition will be certified once at least 35 of the Delegate signatures have been properly verified. The purpose of this meeting is to take nominations from the floor for the vacant offices.

An election will be scheduled and officially noticed for 8:00 to 9:00 A.M. on August 1st, being held just prior to the regularly scheduled Delegates Meeting. I, and others will keep you posted.

There was no meeting of record , only 2 officers showed up and thus, no quorum. Mike

Computer owners could copy Randall's notice, cut, paste, enlarge, print, and post for your building, to give your people a head start on thinking about what would be good for the village. At the meeting you saw some of the best, brightest, and most cooperative possibilities.

At the Officers Meeting - present and ready to keep UCO running:
Frank Cornish VP and Betty Lapidus Recording Secretary.
Missing were Dorothy Tetro Treasurer, and Avis Blank Corresponding Secretary.
To the best of my knowledge, and I am totally unofficial, Sal Bummolo VP had Dr’s note for imperative Dr. business.
The above are the officers, pls correct anything as necessary

Mrs H Silver said Howie had officially resigned. He had sent an email, but a signed letter is required.

There were thorough discussions of the legalities involved in the next step per Randall’s notice above.

The meeting was exceptionally polite, thoughtful and positive. A big crowd, 77 delegates + many others. A few raised voices, it is CV after all.

Hi All,
As regards the failure of the Officers Committee to raise a Quorum at the meeting; Sal Bummolo gets a pass for serious medical issues, and Avis Blank gets a pass for serious family issues.

Dorothy Tetro has no excuse and should have been present.xdrp

The bottom line is that it is clearly impossible for some of the Officers of UCO to meet their responsibilities under our Bylaws, hence based on House Council opinion we must drop through to a Special Election.

So it shall be written - so it shall be done.
