WHAT'S WITH 601?

HI, I JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH SUSAN BUCHERS OFFICE TO FIND OUT IF 601 HAS BEEN SIGNED YET. NO IT HASN'T. CRIST HAS UNTO THE 3RD TO DO IT EVEN THO IT WAS TO GO INTO EFFECT ON 7/1. IT IS THE BILL THAT WILL CHANGE A LOT OF WHAT WE HAVE ALWAYS DONE. THIS IS WHAT I MEAN BY US MAKING CHANGES IN THE VILLAGE TO COMPLY WITH NEW LAWS AND RULES ,ETC. THIS BILL WILL CHANGE HAZARD INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS IN THE DECLARATON OF CONDOMINIUM COVERAGE.

WHO IS GOING TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT? IS IT THE HOMEOWNER, THE ASSOCIATION ? NOW HOME OWNERS INSURANCE WILL BE REQUIRED AND THE ASSOCIATION WILL BE ABLE TO BUY IT FOR THE UNIT OWNER IF THEY DON'T HAVE IT AND LEIN THEIR UNIT FOR THE COST.

WE HAVE A LOT TO TALK ABOUT AND A LOT TO DO.

Mogi, if you had spent time in UCO you would understand Uconymous. Only George, can make dicisions, have ideas, bend budgets for lawyers and buildings, interpret rules and bylaws, etc. Everything goes thru George.

Hi All,
What a rediculous question!

The changes in Condo law affects us all and it is most definitely EVERYBODIES business.

What is the alternative? hide your head in the sand and ignore the changes and do nothing.

This is Phyllis's business, your business and my business.

Use your real name; and get involved.

We already have one organization that has no authority as said by George Loewenstein in June's UCO reporter.

We don't need a bunch of self appointed people with big egos and no qualifications telling the only legal entities in Century Village, the Associations, what to do.

Hi Phyllis , It was my understanding UCO had a meeting at the clubhouse for the delegates and unit owners where the insurance issues were explained by Tennyson. I'm sure there is much more to learn though. Mike

To Anonymous (9:18),
Assuming that you have given serious thought to your comments prior to posting them, rest assured that there are many individuals, self appointed, once appointed or otherwise, that are emphatic in changing the status quo. Won't you join in and contribute positive thoughts and ideas which will enhance the operation of Century Village? The frustrations felt are not yours alone. Kindly resond in like.

Question # 1-Did the Governor sign bill 601?

Question # 2-601 overrides some sections of bill 995. What are they?

Question # 3-601 calls for changes to homeowners policies and coverages issued after January 2009. Are any of the insurance changes in 601 effective 7/1/08?
