CV CABLE SERVICE

Hi All,
There will be a meeting with Christine Saxon, our POC at COMCAST Cable.
This will be the first meet and greet for your new Cable Chair and this meeting will be informational in nature.

It turns out that the figure of 29 channels in the analogue tier is inaccurate; the number of channels which will be available in the analogue tier is yet to be determined. Christine will address this and other Cable issues at the meeting.

The complex issues of digital transition and Cable Channel realignment is one of shifting sands.
I will make every effort to obtain accurate information in future and keep you all "in the loop".

Please attend the meeting and bring questions as there will be a time for Q & A with Christine.

Event: Meeting with COMCAST Rep.
Date: 14 August, 2008
Day: Thursday
Time: 10:00am
Place: Classroom B in the Clubhouse

Yes, this is a limited capacity venue; but in future Christine has agreed to brief the Delegate Assembly of all matters COMCAST and Digital Transition.

Way to go Dave. If the mtg is only 1 1/2 hours or less, we can scoot downstairs to learn how to use the new voting machines.
The Comcast ads in the newspaper have some of the smallest print terms & conditions I ever saw.

Dave, thanks so much for the information. I don't know what we would do without you.
I'm wondering if we have to worry about shortage of boxes if boxes are needed.

Dave, I know you love gadgets, but many people can't afford anything more than basic, basic service. Hope you represent their interests.

I know full well that we must scrub every possible penny, while maximizing service.

Please attend the meeting and raise your issue.

Hi P,
Scientific Atlanta cranks the boxes out by the thousands.

I doubt there will be a serious dislocation as regards supply.

Wrong attitude Dave. I'm told Florida law says I have to pay for cable. If UCO says they represent the people, then represent the people.

Hi A Nony Mouse

Please be a bit more specific on your thoughts; surely you are not advocating letting the cost spiral out of control!

We must make every effort to scub down the cost while obtaining the best package of channels for the Unit Owners.

Also remember that making a Set-Top-Box a Common Element Expense and installing it in 7854 units is not a decision to be made by the Cable Committee; it must be made by the Delegate Assembly after full information disclosure as to the benefits and costs.

In reality, I have no fixed attitude on this matter save that stated above. My mind is wide open to the voice of our residents.

Again I say, attend the meeting it is your right to be heard.

I wish I could attend the meeting but will not be able to. It is very important. All should be there if possible. Admit it or not, tv is a big part of our lives.
